EXCELLENT! You have done fantastically. Keep it up.

IF your pants size is changing your measurements have to be changing too. Must be your technique.

120/hr is not very much work. I suspect the machine is closer to the truth
-
Gotta love it!

Currently I am average1.5 to 2 lbs/week, although any particular week might be up or down.
-
Wow! How do you get 1,000 kcal from 20 mins of work? I suspect you are over estimating your burned calories. Are you using an HRM or something else?
-
Ok, The answer is, it depends. You have to look at the actually study from which you are obtaining the calorie estimate and how it was determined. In a research setting, this is usually done with indirect calorimetry in which Oxygen consumption and CO2 generation is precisely measured and the calories burned determined.…

I'm sorry if you didn't appreciate my humor. It's just this board is generally focused on a safe approach to sustained weight control using calorie control as a primary focus. It seems everyday there are another half dozen posts asking questions about wonder pills to lose weight. I have responded to many of them in a dry…

Listen, I've got so magic beans for sale if your interested........

Some of it is water. The rest will be fat and a small amount of muscle from where ever you body decides to lose it from. Everyone is different; but, it is not uncommon for the waist to be the last to go (unfortunately). Keep up the good work!

Well, it will only weigh you accurately if you are entirely on the weighing platform. If it has been off since you got it, it may be a poor design for you and your size or it may be broken. Either way I would look at an alternative scale....

MEASURE! Measure everything that passes your lips Measure your exercise and the associated extra calories Measure your progress
-
The only comment I would make is the sodium content is high because of the processed meats you are consuming if that is of concern to you. You could think about preparing some lean meats and fish in the kitchen. As long as you have properly determined your daily calories targets, you are actually measuring your intake and…

Any lean meat that isn't salted! turkey and chick breasts are perfect examples. If you relax the fat restriction, eggs and cheeses are great choices as well. Then the nuts ,sunflower seeds, and peanuts come in. (Watch for carb content depending on the nuts) I also like to snack on low carb protein shakes and unsweetened…

This is my recommendation as well. Mix it up and have the taste you expect with reduced calories and fat. Turkey bacon is BAD:noway: . Actually about the same calories and doesn't taste like bacon to me......

It is amazing (and entertaining) how much incorrect dogma (read fat bashing)is routinely repeated. Have a nice (fat) day!
-
Remember "Healthy food" is not just high fiber low calorie veggies! Lean proteins need to be a mainstay. Having enough lean protein and reasonable fat consumption goes a longggggggg way to controlling hunger. Good luck!
-
I follow a lower carbohydrate higher protein approach while also limiting my calories and have been very pleased with MFP and its tools. I don't know much about Dukan, so I can't comment on it specifically.

every day, every meals and snack! It is a great motivational tool for me.

Everybody is different. If you are generally happy with your current physique, you can have some liposuction easily done in the breast area

Well, I have the opposite problem: I look in the mirror and see an 21 your old man who looks pretty good! (I am in my 50's and still overweight) When I see a picture of myself it becomes more real. We just need to realize that our senses are filtered through our personalities, beliefs and experiences to create our…

I suspect you exercise calorie burns are not accurate. I have found that the estimates here are WAY higher than I get from my HRM. Also my pat answer to this question is : "Are MEASURING EVERYTHING that passes your lips?" We tend to over estimate our calorie burns and underestimate our intake. Good luck!

It works wonderfully on my Samsung Fascinate (an android phone) I love it.

Make sure you recognize that this calculator is in kg and not lbs......

Have to agree that the slim Jim is pretty much a wasteland nutritionally. Might find a better alternative. I love those 5 hour energy things when I am dragging. My wife turned me on to them and they really pick me up when I don't really want to have a cup of coffee and I like the taste. (better than a pill of caffeine and…

Also, give your self some time. Our body flucates significanlty (i.e. +/- say 5 lbs in a dya) just from what we have in our GI tract and our state of hydration. I can loose 2 lbs just by weighing after an hour bike ride! Just keep up the good work and don't get discouraged!
-
Just keep it up. You are doing great! I bet it is hard to resist the cake and frosting (yummmmmm!)

Sorry, but there are no magic pills for a successful weight loss. There are some prescription agents with significant side effects and only temporary help and a drug that cuts down the absorption of fat leading to gastrointestinal complaints. Believe me, I wish there was something that really worked. Don't waste your money.

Great story! Congratulations!

You look FANTASTIC! Keep up the good work.
