DId you really need your doctor to tell you these things. If she has met your needs in other areas, I would not change because she has her own struggles with weight. Remember professional athletes are routinely coached by people who can not do what they are training the pro to do.

How do you know your calorie burn? If you are using some estimate of what P90X burns, that all depends on how hard you are pushing. Give it some time and I personally would be careful about adding calories from your workout. My HRM shows that MFP tends to over estimate quite a bit.

It doesn't matter a bit! Just be consistent

Be very careful. These fruits and veggies are definitely NOT zero calorie. I would take this list and deep six it!

When I am in a rush I use one of the high protein supplement/ meal replacement shakes. Just pitch it in the blender with or without some blueberries and I'm good to go in 2-3 minutes. Really need to have something to start the day and "Break the fast"

To quote a cliche... every journey begins with a single step. Set a goal of 5 pounds. start to make healthy choices and biegin a gentle exercise regimen and you will see great progress. Good luck!

Great job...

Wow. Maybe you should complain to Mother Nature! It's a matter of simple chemistry. Fruits have sugars and starches which have caloric value. Plain and simple. If the fruit you are eating just to eat (as your post seems to imply) doesn't satiate you, I would recommend eating some protein instead. Has some lean chicken or…

Hmmm. I think it is a problem with your machine. Download firefox or chrome browsers and try them. Maybe something is messed up with your ie

Also, your heart rate monitor may not be very accurate at estimating caloric consumption with baseline activity. I have my doubts about 5000 calories of expenditure with kitchen work........

Nosalt or orther salt replacements will help significantly. You lose potassium in your urine and some in sweat, so you should look for ways to increase your untake if you are really low... People taking certain blood pressure or heart failure drugs as well as those with kidney problems need to be very careful with…

Look great! Don't know where you're going to find ten more pounds to loose!

It will estimate calories burned for you; but, it is also a great motivator. It keeps me honest in my workouts. I know whether I am pushing it or not based on my heart rate. I have one that also logs to Polar's website and keeps track of my progress. (More of a gimmick than anything really useful)

Protein shake. YEAH! go for it.

If you follow instructions, they are at least consistent and directionally accurate +/- a percent or 3. Calipers are not a great alternative. You really can't do it yourself accurately and ideally it requires someone with training/experience.

Hmmm, that math doesn't quite work out.: If you have a a BMR of 1746 kcals and your are consuming 1250 kcals, your deficit is 1250-1746=-496 or a deficit of 496 calories each day (assuming this "BMR" actually includes sedentary activity). That is no where near your calculated needed deficit of 2,500 kcals/day. If you ate…

Great work!

I take a different approach. EAT BEFORE YOU GO! Don't consume all your calories, but get some protein in and it will help curb you appetite. I like the pre-selection of what you will order and also promise yourself you are only going to eat an appropriate serving. (Take home the rest for another day)

Big change! Congratulations

DO NOT GO WITH TONIC WATER. I've made this mistake myself thinking it would be a good choice. Tonic has almost as much sugar as Coke! Have fun and be responsible both with the calories and the alcohol!

BUMP merely "bumps" the post to the top of the forum and you can also find it again because you posted in it.

Spectacular! You look MARVELOUS!

EXCELLENT!

You are doing the right things. I always plan my eating for those vulnerable times. I am on my last of 5 night shifts tonight. Have my meals in the fridge. I also bring some broccoli florets so I have something to shove in my mouth when the chips and pizza etc. show up in the break room. It's tough, but you can do it!

Fantastic job. Keep up the good work.

Fantastic. You look GREAT! Congratulations.

Too much protein does NOT damage your liver. The only health concerns with protein are for those that have bad kidney function or have liver failure. If your kidneys do not work properly, you can't excrete the nitrogenous waste that comes from metabolizing protein. Similarly if you have liver failure, excess protein may be…

Excellent!

Take it the way you like it. There is no significant effect on metabolism.

You are doing everything right! Keep up the good work. I would mix up my workout and think hard about giving yourself at least 1 day off to heal. We cant really spot reduce and our bodies will burn the fat from where they want. I am like you and have lost alot from my face and less than I would like from around the middle.…
