but, much of the juice is just water. Undoubtedly some fat, but mostly water. Not worth worrying about in my mind.

yes. Your baseline is sedentary. Than post your exercise. Read and decide if or how many of your exercise calories you will consume.
-
Great! I know I have faced those challenges recently with less success than you had!!!
-
Congratulations. Keep it up. Don't over do it and your will reap the rewards.

Atkins is not a NO carb diet.. It starts out with a very low carbohydrate 20-25 grams in the induction phase with an increase in the weight loss phase and an individualized increase in maintenance based upon how your body responds. Atkins never advocated cutting out any food group. If you actually look at it, it isn't…

The wrist size may be different, but they all can be programmed Male or female as far as I know

Skinfold calpers really require a second person to do the measurements and are best done by trained people. I wouldn't waste my money. Perhaps your gym has a nutritionist or trainer who has some experience? Otherwise, you probably would be better off using one of the bio-impedence devices (I haven't seen a health-club yet…

I don't know your age, so I don't know your heart rate max; but those are pretty high heart rates, meaning you were working. I believe the HRM is probably fairly accurate.
-
Careful with the tonic! It has about as much sugar as Coke!

every Friday morning "for the record". But I pretty much step on the scale every day to see what's up. My major metric of success however, is my belt! I am currently wearing a belt I could never use just 1 month ago and I am on the second hole!
-
Big change! keep up the good work.
-
Just account for it in your food log and you will be fine.
-
WOW. Remember the HRM is just a tool for estimating caloric expenditures. The are only as reliable as the estimation method and equations they incorporate a.d generally are not suitable for estimating anything other than steady state aerobic activity. Quite frankly, I find their greatest value is keeping me honest: I have…

I wish I didn't cheat; but, occassionally I do. Now yesterday I went WAY overboard and I am feeling guilty. It will take me the week to get back to where I should be. I couldn't possibly be bad every week and I am of the mind that a cheat meal might be a better approach.

I would also recommend a buddy. Someone to be accountable to ( and for) that will help keep you on track!
-
Fantastic.!

Another myth. The fat burning zone is merely a low level of exercise that does not provide much improvement in cardiac condition. You will burn more calories, and fat, quicker with a higher level of exercise intensity.
-
WOW. Awesome!

Fantastic!
-
Wow. Good job!

I appreciate all the suggestions offered here;but the reality is you can not spot reduce any part of your anatomy short of liposuction! You are going to lose where your body wants to loose. Keep up the good work and just know that eventually you will reach your goals.

I will do my best to offer thoughts. The frequency of exercise should really not be affected by being obese. The kind of exercise is a different story. If you are very heavy you may want to pursue activities that are low impact to avoid joint injury and pain. The particular diet you choose is a subject of some controversy…

I too took some. Made sure my face didn't show and I try not to look at them! Not certain I'll have the guts to post them; but, at least I have them. I think you too will be happy you took them

Well, In general sparkling water would be best ;-) If you are just watching calories, account for them in you eating (and log) and try to avoid the sugary sweet things. A glass of dry wine or a light beer will be about the same. A shot of the hard stuff (my favorite is tequila) will be ~ 100 calories. If you have to mix…

Inches by far. But, 12 pounds in 2 months is great!
-
Do you log all that tasting of the baking mix! Recheck, measure, etc. I suspect you are over you calorie allocation.
-
I'm so disappointed when there are no pics :-) Congratulations and keep it up!

Unfortunately, in the English system of measurement we have a volume measure of ounches ( 8 ounces to a cup) and a weight measure of ounces (16 ounces to a pound). These are as different as night and day. 4 volume ounces does = 1/2 cup, but what this weighs is an entirely different story. Think about 1/2 cup of lead…

Keep up the good work. I don't have th guts to put up my picks yet, but I did take some baseline photos.
