  • Well, I am not interested in a debate; but ,TSH measurements are THE most sensitive indication of hypothyroid hypothyroidism. Pituitary hypothyroidism leads to low TSH levels. Hashimoto's Thyroiditis is a mixed chronic inflammatory thyroid condition that can have periods of hyperthyroidism but usually leads to…
  • Actually TSH is a much more sensitive indication of hypothyroid hypothyroidism than T4 or T3. It reflects the pituitary gland's response to being hypothyroid. You can have a "normal" T4 value and an elevated TSH might be the only indication that you actually have deficient thyroid activity. If your current plan isn't…
  • I MEASURE EVERYTHING
  • Ok, Ketones are actually a family of metabolic fat breakdown products. The strips respond best to acetone in the urine. If you have ANY measured in the urine, you are in ketosis. Darker isn't better than lighter! In fact, as noted above, it really is an indication of dehydration, not of a better metabolic state.Keep the…
  • Your body needs recovery days as well.
  • You can say that again! Ohhh! You did!
  • It is a little hard to diagnose what's going on with the information you have given; but, I will give you my general recommendations (for what they are worth) : 1). Set your calorie and macro nutrient goals using this site or some other source 2). MEASURE EVERYTHING that passes your lips and account for it. 3).…
  • Correct. In addition, the database entry may tell you . Like "Chicken thigh skin on without bone"
  • I love it! Particularly the chocolate one. I like to mix with water and sprinkle in some pistachio nuts for crunch. it is a nice reasonable calorie treat with much of the fat of peanut butter removed.

  • What do you do???? Eat less sugar. Figure out where you're getting it and reduce it. Simple as that.
  • Congrats. I agree 100% with the sentiment.
  • In the immortal words of Yoda "Do or Do not, There is no try!" ........ I make a commitment to follow my plan through the weekend as well as the week. Make good choices, save calories for that Partying, choose low cal/carb adult beverages and blame the dark side if you unfortunately "Do not". Don't beat yourself up if you…
  • Sorry, But there is no way to target fat reduction (Believe me, I wish there was!). Your body will do it's thing and you really can't spot reduce. You can, of course, concentrate some of your workout to tone/build muscle in a focused area.
  • Sounds more like you were dehydrated/vaso-vagal. Make sure you drink your water and don't starve yourself. Good luck.
  • If you follow all the directions they are fairly accurate. More importantly, if you do the measurements the same way, they are consitent. It will be directional correct (show you you are changing) but the absolute number it gives you can be off by quite a bit. I like mine and measuring first thing in the morning without…
  • I snack on almonds or sunflower seeds. Sa;ty, crunchy and better nutrition than the chips. Still not very low cal though....
  • I try and have celery, peppers, zucinni, and other crispy veggies in the fridge to get that crunch-chew feeling and not kill my calories.
  • Soft boiled egg, 1 strip of crispy bacon mashed together with pepper and a little salt. My Fav amd about 150 calopries depending on the bacon! High protein, low carb and low cal
  • like it!

  • Lower carb higher protein
  • I'll take inches over pounds any day!!
  • :noway: Sorry, but there is no way to target fat loss and these contraptions do nothing but lose you money. Sensible exercise and diet. not machines, creams or funny garments.
  • There is nothing magic about the B complex vitamins. Most of the B complex can be absorbed with oral supplements. One exception is B12. Most people who are B12 deficient actually have a problem with something call intrinsic factor that is produced by stomach cells. Without it, you can't absorb the B12. That is why B12 is…
  • No weight loss in a year. Sorry to say, but in additional to the issues with the quality of your food choices noted above, you have to be eating too many calories. In the end, it is calories in and calories out. Do you MEASURE EVERYTHING that passes your lips? (measure, not estimate) How are you determining you calories…
  • Something is amiss here. When you have been in ketosis and then drop out, execss carbohydrate will be coverted to glycogen, hold onto water, etc. However, without additional carbohydrate intake, once you deplete that glycogen, you have no subsrtae left to complete the fatty acid cycle and you should be in ketosis. That…
  • yes.But it is more likely that you are consuming more calories than you think and estimating your exercise calories in excess. Do you MEASURE EVERYTHING that passes your lips and have an accurate calorie burn estimate (i.e. via a HRM)?
  • Looks like an error message to me.......

  • I like shakes for a quick breakfast after my bike ride. I like 1 from EAS. The chocolate is great!

  • Go for it. The majority of Cholesterol we synthesize in our liver and it doesn't come from dietary intake. So if your numbers are good a few eggs should be ok.
