  • When I started with MFP i did my best to plan my eating a day ahead of time. I'd look up calories of the things I was probably going to eat, then I knew ahead of time if I was planning for too many calories. Sometimes seeing how many calories food has before you eat it can help you make smarter choices, and if there's…
  • Agree, the Hamilton beach is great. Just be sure to put yogurt in first and I've never had a problem blending anything, including frozen strawberries and peach slices. It's easy to travel with too, if you're going on a longer vacation. Some of the other less expensive blenders had issues with their lids, I've never had…
  • There are some really good, and free, marathon plans. I'd for sure find one that works for you. Some of them have limited interval training, but the majority of them start you running 15-20 miles a week and build from there. I think most of the programs are 16 weeks long, so you could start with a 10K plan, and after you…
  • I got one as a Christmas gift. Haven't gone a day without it since. It syncs with My fitness pal and other health services. You get out of it what you put in to it. I absolutely love it! My mom and I have made it in to a game, she'll call me and ask "How many?" it's a rare day when she has more steps than me, but when she…

  • Just a thought, it may be best to help him sort out the other areas of his life first. You said he's not paying his bills on time and you're going to work with him on it. Start with that, get him on track with finances and saving money. If he's not paying bills on time, there are probably other areas of his life he needs…
  • The first few weeks are the hardest, but after that it starts to become a way of life. Sure some days are better than others, but every day you stick with it is better than the day before you started. I set small goals for myself (no prize, just pride). Things like: Hit my calorie goal for 10 days in a row, log in every…
  • I don't know why it happens, but when I started walking for exercise my legs would itch so bad after a half mile I would have to stop. Normally it was my upper leg. It would turn red and blotchy. I kept walking and after several months it didn't itch any more. Now I can run or walk as much as I want without any issues. I…
  • Way to go! 50lbs is fantastic!! Take a picture of yourself now and save it somewhere so you can always measure how far you've come. Keep up the amazing work!
  • Thanks for the input everyone. I appreciate it!
  • I'd look at Underarmor sports bras. Just got one and I think it's one of the best i've ever had. They color code them based on size and support needed. Worth the $50, I think.
