My daughter is 21 months and the only time I have is when she is napping or down for the night. I have handed some responsibility over to my husband so that I do have time for myself to exercise. I ran a half 8 months after I had my daughter. I was bf'ding as well and did up to 17 months. I just had to make sure my running bra wasnt too tight, or it was uncomfortable. Maybe stretch out more before and after your workout?? A day off isnt going to hurt either....just get right back on the train the next day. Maybe ice your knees a bit as well. I had to do that when I was training for the half marathon....

I have been having the same problem. Started in Jan 09, lost and maintained 33 pounds and now for the last two months I have been gaining it back.
