  • Your nutrition is not great. It seems you are eating a lot of processed and pre packaged food. These things carry alot of sodium. You need to spread your calories out a little more and not skip meals or snacks. Your metabolism isn't going to be very fast if your body thinks it is starving.
  • I think it is important to do what you feel works for you. Making small attainable goals for yourself is how we makes changes that will stick. However, I started my jouney at 349 lbs and I started exercise and the same time as diet. Now down 127lbs, not only do I eat much healthier but my body is STRONG and HEALTHY. In the…
  • Nice Work!! Great for you : )
  • Thanks for your help!! It posted : ) I'm not sure how I did it but it worked, Lol!
  • Will the pic show up befor I hit the post button? B/c I am putting the img link in there and it is just showing the link address. Thanks for your reply, btw.
  • I love Zumba for many reasons. One is, it was what actually got me going to the gym and keeping me there. It increased my confidence, self esteem and it is just plain fun. I can burn 800 calories in 50 minutes and would rather do that than run! Zumba has so many different variety of classes ....like Zumba Tone and Sentao…
  • Park Hills, MO....60 mi south of St. Louis!!
  • You look great!! Congratulations : )
  • Seriously I can make a natrual protein shake for cheap! I don't need to cleanse my butt with anything but broccoli! That seriously cracked me up!! It's so true. I get tired of people trying to sell me stuff on here!!
  • YES!!! Water is so so so important. I understand the soda addiction but it is so so so bad for you...diet or not. To help with water, you can start with carbonated water and for every 12oz add 2Tbs of 100% Juice...just be careful not to put too much juice in there. OR, you can cut up your favorite fruit and put it in a jug…
  • 117lbs lost!! I still have 93 to go but this is something to share : )
  • I started my jouney Jan. 2011 and have since lost 117lbs. I still have 93 to go but this is definite progress : )
  • Ok, yes, she is toxic and scheming and really ungrateful. BUT all of us know that tackling the root of weight issues is very very difficult. Food has always been a defense mechanism and coping skill for most of us...and I bet it is for her too. I am not giving her excuses but I am hoping that maybe everyone could…
  • I weigh more than my S.O. But I am in better shape. I have lost 109lbs and am still heavier than her. I am 5 ft 8 and she is 5ft 5 and there is still a 30lb difference between us. It's ok though....cause I am more fit : )
  • Thank you : )
  • Ok.....well, thank you everyone for responding to my post. I apologize if I did not post it correctly, as some have indicated that maybe titling this differently maybe wouldn't have drawn such a huge debate. Anyway, I was mostly looking for support not debate. I have been called nasty, vile and stupid here and in private…
  • Shock Wave Gym Bunny....I appreciate your input, but my mom's oncologists seem to think it is not a very very stupid thing to do. I appreciate your wanting to help but don't need the negativity!! If you were kindly inquiring that would be awesome but calling me stupid doesn't seem very encouraging!!
  • This is my choice!! Thanks for your input but you don't have to be negative!! : )
  • I already don't eat fake food and don't plan on adding any fake food to the way I eat. Thank you all so much for your ideas and encouragement!! My mom has battled breast cancer and her docs were pretty adament about doing away with red meat for sure so, I'm ok with listening to them : ) I am also pretty independantly…
  • Wow!! Thanks : )
  • I've lost 101 but I still have 109 to go!! And you are right 1lb at a time : )
  • Thank you!!
  • Great job!!!
  • Thank you!!!
  • Well, I gave up red meat because it really just seems to not be that great for my health. It's been tied to cancer etc. Then, I just decided I wanted to give up the rest of it and really focus on getting a lot more veggies into my diet. I don't know if I will keep it up forever, but I just needed to shake up my diet a bit…
  • I workout sometimes 4-6 hours a day b/c I am a fitness instructor!!
  • No, I couldn't possibly eat all of the calories MFP wants me to eat.
  • I guess I can try that. I was told to increase my calories since I am a fitness instructor and do so much....and people were telling me that my body would think it was starving if I was only eating 1200 calories and burning more than that. In fact, for my weight, Jillian Micheals recommends 1530 for lightly active people.…
  • I don't eat the same everyday...my calories depend on how much exercising I am doing. I do Zumba everyday...and run every few days as well as a circuit training 3 days a week and x fit two times a week.
  • I follow Courtney from Biggest Loser on Twitter. I asked her and she said that Bob Harper gave them brooksrunning shoes at the end of the show. She says she will never run in anything else. I am going to get a pair of those...light, form fitting and great for your feet. You can look them up on amazon.com or…
