Pizza, Chinese, and popcorn at the movies. Sneaking in a bag of microwave popcorn? SO not the same!

I lost 25 lbs. and haven't had it since. :-)

I am by no means an expert, but someone told me once to just RUN. Run as far as you can until you literally can't anymore. And then do it again tomorrow. You'll be sore, but keep pushing. I can run forever on a treadmill, but outside is so totally different. This summer I signed up for a 5K in October. I trained by running…

Bob Harper Weight Loss Yoga. It's only like 8 or 9 bucks on Amazon, and it was what first got me into yoga. Not too demanding, but works!

I've heard great things about TurboFire and just finished Insanity and loved it.

Living on a Prayer. It might have been early 90's, but I think it was very late 80's. Don't You Want Me (Human League) Billie Jean Africa/Hold the Line

 Welcome! Love the title of your post. You will find so much support and friendship here. You're going to love it, and... YOU'VE GOT THIS!!!
-
Good idea! I never thought I would need one, and now don't know how I'd live without one!

A heart rate monitor is the best way to go. People's calories burned on Insanity (I and lots of my friends do it, too) vary SO greatly it's...insane. My friend and I did the same exact workout today. He burned 1120 cals and I burned just over 400. It's crazy, and mfp's calories are not very accurate for their exercises.…

I start Week 3 of Max Month tomorrow. You will LOVE it. I like it way better than I did Month 1. Good luck!
-
Thanks everyone! I have a brand-new Polar F7. It does have a chest strap. And I do work my hardest. I have noticed my heart rate goes down way fast. I'm back out of my zone within seconds during the water breaks. It's weird, because when i take a brisk walk around the lake near my house, which is 6 miles, I do it in an…

Hi everybody! I have 2 workouts left in Month 1 of Insanity. It does get easier...way easier! Of course, I have heard that Recovery Week is just as intense as Month 1, and that Month 2 will have me laughing out loud at some of the things Shaun T. will expect me to do. I haven't skipped a day, and I've added running a few…

I go with weight. Always. Don't know why, but I figure consistency is key.
-
The same thing happened to me this morning, but it was after overeating on Friday and being PERFECT (including walking 6 miles and an Insanity workout) yesterday. The scale is so frustrating. One thing I've learned is not to put too much stock in it, and to just go with how you feel. Obviously, you don't feel great knowing…
-
I can totally tell the difference! ESPECIALLY in the midsection...and your legs are getting tiny! Now you're my motivation, as I'm almost done week 2. Keep pushing, girl. You look amazing.
-
Oh, that's so frustrating! No wonder there's no magic key to weight loss when we don't even know what to believe!
-
Noooooooo!!!!!!! I was so happy I didn't need to do it again until next Friday. Ugh! Although...Pure Cardio probably kills me more, so I need to stop whining. Thanks everyone!

I just ordered a Polar Ft4 on Amazon for 60 bucks or so. I've heard good things about them. Wish I could tell you my experience, but it'll be here in 2 days. :-)
-
ps...The description for the ft4 I bought says it IS a user-replaceable battery.
-
Replying so I can see people's answers. I just ordered the ft4 myself.
-
I just finished Day 4 ten minutes ago, so it's a little early to see results, but from the massive amounts of sweat procured from each workout so far I would HOPE for some results! :-)

I have a hard time with sweets, too. The only thing that works for me is to go low-carb for a while. That stops the cravings. (And no artificial sweeteners with aspartame.) HOWEVER, if I have a bite--just one BITE--of a cookie, cake, etc., I'm done. And I literally can't (or won't) stop. So, I feel your pain. Like I said,…
-
I so feel your pain. I am sometimes tempted to buy a container of frosting and eat till I drop. Worse still, the bakery near me sells "frosting shots." For 25 cents. Takes all I can not to drive there and clean 'em out some days. :blushing:

The sad thing is she is probably a "plus-size" model. Ugh.
