I've been thinking about that question, too, and I think it's going to take a major reframe for me. This is not a diet. This is not a temporary phase in my life that, once I hit GW I can reset and eat what I used to eat in as much quantity as I want. This is how life will be and it's up to me to bring the happiness. The…

This is going to make me sound super dumb, but I'm over fifty so...who cares! I used WW the first time, and lost 40 lbs. It taught me how to eat healthy foods and explore getting much food for very little points (2009 version). Then when I gained back 25, I wanted something free on my phone and easier than calculating…

I'm back after initially losing 50 lbs(thanks, Weigh Watchers), gaining 25 back(thanks, sugar, wheat, fat etc), then losing it again (thanks, My Fitness Pal!!!), gaining 30, down 3 now. I never thought I'd be the one yoyo-ing. That euphoria I felt at being thinner was all I needed, or so I thought. So here I am, trying to…

I am not a big fan of puking after a workout! I'm not familiar with Crossfit, but just looked it up. It sounds grueling; is there a way to go at your own pace? I think if you could push yourself, but not injure or traumatize yourself, you would get that same benefit (energy, positivity) Could your husband outline some…

There is a book called The Four Agreements by Miguel Ruiz, and they are just simple statements to keep in mind as you live your life. One of the best is this: "Don't take anything personally." His comment to you says so much more about himself and how he feels about what he can do than what it says about you. Your biggest…

Not at all!!! I know what you mean, my clothes are starting to fit like I've always wanted them to...and the mirror is once again, my friend. :)

Great responses! I am considering BMI and BF%, plus toning and building muscle. I guess what made me really think about it, too, is that question you get when people start to notice you losing weight..."So, how much do you want to lose? What do you want to get down to?" It's a great situation to find yourself headed toward!

Go to Add Cardio, then from the Cardio menu choose Strength. You detail your strength training under Add Strength. Hope this helps! If you are doing intense strength you might want to increase the calorie burn a bit, especially if you are working out your legs. :)

I think it says more about those people and how they feel about themselves, than what is real about overweight runners. All of the responses here seem to be positive, with good cautions. We are all here to get fit and feel better. Those people who put others down are trying to feel better about themselves, period. You know…

The mind is so powerful! My Road ID bracelet says "Mind over miles", because I know, when I look at a hill coming at me, if I say "I can't do it" I'm done. I do my visualizations at night. It's nice to fall asleep and picture myself in that smaller size skirt, or having nicely defined muscles. Since 2009 I lost 38 lbs. I…

I love it!!! Those are the best, when something fits that you totally didn't expect. A friend and I just hiked a trail and jogged for part of it; we really liked it! I believe we are ready for more. Do you wear the same shoes for running street and trail? Awesome!

Great analogy! i remember when I lost 44 lbs a couple years ago; I was buying dog food and I picked up the 44 lb bag and walked around the store with it. What an experience; it really brought into reality what I had done. Very cool.
