Yes, I will be taking before pics. I'm going to start Insanity around that time too, so it will be for both purposes. :)

Dinner if it's early enough. Chocolate milk, banana, string cheese, yogurt, protein shake or nothing if it's later. I always eat the majority of my workout calories, but I plan in advance for them.

At some point you have to figure out what you can maintain. When I get about to where I was in high school, I'll stop focusing on the numbers and aim for something I can reasonably maintain without starving myself.

Make one change each week instead of trying to overhaul everything at once. Start with your eating habits. Maybe make a goal to eat 4 times per day. Give it a week and add something else. Maybe make it a goal to have some type of protein or veggie at least twice a day. Then set another goal. If you drink 5 cans of Mt. Dew…

I think total calories is what you should focus on now. When you get down to the last few pounds, then you need to focus on that other stuff. There's my $.02.

You are an 18 year old male who could probably eat doughnuts all day every day and not gain an ounce. She's a 24 year old female who does not have the same metabolism as you do. She may not have the same fitness activities as you. If I ate 5,000 calories a day, I would gain 85 lbs., as would most people on this site.…

Because when you're trying to lose weight, you don't increase your calories. And 3,000 calories isn't anywhere close to 99% of the people on here who are trying to lose weight. More like 1300.

When I started I was hungry all the time for the first week. People told me to up my protein intake, and I did, but it just takes a week for your body to get used to the calorie cut. Just ride it out as best you can and you'll be much better the second week. So, more protein (I found protein powder helped) and patience. :)

Yes! It is a day for family and friends, but I can take 5 minutes while we're sitting around watching a movie or playing the Wii to get on my phone and log my calories. It's not that hard.

Wendy's Chili. Somewhere a little over 300 calories for a large bowl and it's actually good. I always feel full afterwards, and if not, I add a baked potato.

Oh and one more thing...I'm on a computer for 8+ hours a day during the week, so I rarely get on my computer on the weekends. That's my time for my family. If you want me to respond to something, please post it on my wall as I only use my phone app on the weekends (unless I know I need to take care of something).

TOTALLY missed this thread....oops! Sorry! My name is Christin and I'm a mom to two boys...8 & 10. I started gaining weight after my first pregnancy and I just kept going with the second. My heaviest was 175 about 6 years ago. I was having major sciatica issues, and when I realized I had to tie my shoes on the sides…

Take a medium eggplant, peel it (I use a carrot peeler) and chop it into 1 inch cubes (approx). Cut up red bell pepper and yellow bell pepper, and chop up 2-4 cloves of garlic (you can also add a chopped red onion of you like them). Put it all in a roasting pan and toss the veggies with 1/3 cup olive oil, 1 1/2 tsp kosher…

I have naturally curly hair, and once I put it into a ponytail, it isn't coming down until I shower. I either get up early and go work out, or go at the end of the day and just rock the ponytail. I work out at least 5 days a week, usually 7.

I have friends that have done P90X and it's a tough but rewarding program. Be ready for 90 days of it. One of my other friends has TurboFire and she loves it. Personally, if I had known about TurboFire before I purchased Insanity, I would've gotten that one instead.

Nice with some serious naughty undercurrents...

Lmao...almost spit my food out. This site's protein is set way too low in my opinion. Don't worry about going over. You can always reset your macros too. :)

You can do it! Just take it one day at a time. Once you start exercising, you'll feel better and you'll be better able to manage all those emotions you have running through you. You just have to make it through the first week and you'll notice the difference. On the days I DO NOT want to work out, I force myself to get…

Hahaha!! Awesome! I get it Bear...it's frustrating. I have a friend or two that does this and I wonder why they even bother. With a public application like this, you'll always get people who use it correctly and for what it's intended, and then the people who use it for...I don't even know why. I just figure I'll roll my…

Yes it is. I work in the construction industry and I'm the only girl in an office full of guys. I have a pretty good sense of humor and let the crude jokes, farts and other "guy" things go, but this one is disgusting. Makes me want to hurl.

Are you really walking for 4-5 hours at a time? If so, then great! However, I've found the calories this website says you burn really aren't accurate. They're usually WAY over. Wear a heart rate monitor if you can. Deleted comment...only looked at one day. :)

I used to be 5'4", but at my last doctor's appointment, they told me 5'3". I'm not sure I believe them. I'm so glad you posted this because I was actually thinking about starting a group for people my size. I would love to join! :)

Nope. My fingers swell up when I do cardio and it hurts me when I lift to have that band pinching and rubbing.

I found a turkey skillet recipe on allrecipes.com that is very low on calories but I haven't tried it yet. http://allrecipes.com/recipe/turkey-bow-tie-skillet/detail.aspx And there's always the traditional turkey pot pie with homemade crust and low-fat soup filling.

Turkey Chili (from allrecipes.com): 2 pounds lean ground turkey 1/2-1 onion, chopped 2 medium zucchinis, diced 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped 2 tablespoons chili powder 2 tablespoons ground cumin 1 teaspoon oregano 1/2 teaspoon salt (I usually use WAY more, but I wait until after it's all put together) 1/2 teaspoon…

Add some honey or a little bit of jelly of some kind. Different brands taste different, so try another brand. I don't like it plain either - I have to get the flavored kind.
