I think my primary goal is to learn portion control to support my weight loss efforts.

The sound of lawn equipment, and also the sound of nails being clipped. Especially when I hear that sound in the office. Who clips their nails at work?!?!

I'm just in my first month with NS but I've already lost 7.9 lbs. I think my favourite food is the Mexican style tortilla soup. I'm on the veg basic plan but I think there's a chicken version on the regular plan. Anyway, the soup is good and filling and tastes especially good with a splash of taco sauce! Oh, and I like the…

I am often triggered to overeat by stressful situations, even when I'm not the one in them! I overheard a boss yelling at one of his employees today and it really shook me up. Definitely don't give up on the site, just defriend anyone who is exhibiting behaviour that you find troubling. You're not letting them down; you're…

Thanks so much for your input and insights!

I'm sorry to hear that but have faith that better things are ahead. What do you think your eating? Is there something purposeful you could do instead?

That's smart of you to recognize that about your blood pressure. Take care of yourself!!

All we need to do is lose 1 lb at a time, no matter how many times. Good for you for taking the first step. I understand that exercising can be difficult. Maybe you could check YouTube for seated workouts to start with?

I take a vitamin B complex supplement to help with my anxiety. It doesn't work like a prescription does, but I do think it helps some.

You are my goal. I think you look lovely.

Thank you for the encouragement, lorro. Currie, please don't give up. Perhaps you should go back and speak with your health care provider to tell them that whatever you're on now isn't working. I was in a similar situation and it took a lot of courage to talk to my doctor about it. Just be honest with your doctor about the…

I just picked up Eat, Taste, Heal from Amazon after seeing it recommended here and on the Ayurveda group on SP too. I've had a hard time adjusting recipes to be ayurvedic without being strictly Indian.

This has been a helpful thread to me. As I've dealt more honestly with my feelings and needs I've become more tearful. I cry when I am anxious mostly. I look perfectly calm on the outside but there are tears rolling down my face. It's happened at work (I lost that job), at doctor's appointments, for no reason. I've been…

What a charming website with lots of good info. Thanks for sharing!

I'd try to find healthier options that are somewhat similar to the junk food you like. There are "natural" cheese curls and Tofutti ice cream that you can choose over Cheetos or regular ice cream. Make sure you have your own kind of "junk" around so you don't reach for his junk food.

I've taken it and didn't see much improvement in my weight or how I felt. Perhaps I didn't try it long enough. It was several years ago and I don't remember the particulars.

It's more valuable than crappy food.

Its potential.

Outstanding! I'm hoping my divorce will have a similar effect on me! :blushing:

People who talk on their cell phone in the store, especially during check out. It's so rude!

Hi! I'm glad to see there are others here on MFP that are interested in Ayurvedic principles. It's nice to meet you! I've been reading about them for several years but only recently really started to put them into practice. I also blog but haven't said too much about my ayurvedic practice yet. I'm definitely hoping to add…

Hello! Feel free to send a friend request. : )

Shapely but not so skinny as to have hipbones or ribs showing. Soft but strong is my goal.

Nice to meet you, too!

I've got more to lose than you but your pirate-ish greeting got my attention. : ) FR sent!

There's a Thai love story movie called Yes or No that's so cute!

I love roasted veggies. I prefer them to steamed anytime. Any way you can get yourself to eat your veggies I think is good.
