  • Lean on your coach for clarification! Also, your Quick Start Guide along with condiments list and non-meat lists should answer most of your questions. Of course you can always post your questions here as well but I always like to point people back to their awesome coach :) So excited for your health journey!
  • You can do this thing! Just keep your goals in sight and make mini-goals as well. You can "friend" me if you want. I'm in maintenance right now but love to chat it up with people on program. :)
  • Have you tried the plan outlined in Dr A's Habits of Health? Of course the 5 & 1 plan is the easiest but he also describes how fat burning works and ways to be in fat burn using regular food or 3 MF meals and 3 regular food meals. Just a thought if you wanted to stay on a Medifast plan.
  • cauliflower pizza!
  • They are super yummy! However on program you can only consume one of these bars a day whereas the crunch bars you can use interchangably with all the other MF meals. During maintenance they are fab! I am ordering a case and getting another case free so I can hang on to them as long as possible. I'm so sad they are going…
  • Mary, Medifast is considered a diet, while TSFL is considered a full program because you go through a self-paced study to learn about yourself and education about nutrition and wellness so you have the tools to keep the weight off for good (lifestyle change!). You also get a health coach to guide you through that material…
  • OH but Dr A's HOH is so amazing! I never knew about the importants of glycemic levels of foods and how the contribute to my weight problems. Wow that was a great chapter! But I agree the workbook will change a person's life for sure. I discovered terrible habits I had that I never knew I had! It allowed me to create a…
  • I'm not doing Medifast but use Medifast weight loss program through Take Shape For Life. I lost 40 pounds last summer and have been maintaining for a long time thanks to this optimal health program! I did gain 5 pounds while on vacation for 2 weeks so I'm back on for one week to lose those pounds, which are probably just…
  • How are you feeling? It can take up to 5 days to get into fat burn. Many hit it by day 3, some day 4, and some day 5. Hope you hit it and feel awesome!
  • Perhaps your doctor knows something that we don't? Medifast use to be liquid (shakes) diet but now is so much more! In fact Take Shape For Life is a complete optimal health program that teaches you how to keep it off for good. I personally have not heard of anyone doing it the way that you are (5 Medifast shakes a day…
  • Was maintaining since December, went on vacation to see relatives that believe in going out to eat every night and some lunches. So I gained 6 pounds. I'm back on program for a week to lose that. I was on plan yesterday and today is day 2. Started with the orange blend drink blended with ice and vanilla extract (1…
  • Awesome! I've been thinking about going back to school to become a nutritionist or dietitian. I have to think really hard about it given all the difficulties of going back to school while having a family and working full time. I bet you find your job quite fulfilling! I certainly do! I get to help people change their lives…
  • I have seen other meal replacement products out there but I researched the science behind many of them and found when I read the clinical studies done for Medifast and teh amount of time it has been on the market (30+ years) and it was created by doctors and was only available by prescription until about 10 years ago and…
  • I added her :)
  • I'm no help either. I'm on the Take Shape For Life program as it is the only thing that has ever worked for me and helped me keep it off. Good luck!
  • I also love the cauliflower pizza. I want to try the cauliflower "bread" sticks sometime. I'm not very creative with my lean and green so my husband does a lot of grilling of meat and stir fries. One thing I like to make is the chicken and veggie soup in the Lean and Green Cookbook. Yummmmmmy!
  • I highly suggest talking to a nutritionist or dietition at Nutritional Support (nutritionsupport@tsfl.com). Also tonight is the nurse's call so you can dial in and ask your question to a registered nurse. Wednesday is the doctor's call. Good luck! I utilize these methods of support all the time and always point my clients…
  • Sounds like everyone is doing great! Hurray! Update from this morning: day 3 back on plan and haven't hit fat burn yet. I was a bit hungry between lunch and mid afternoon fueling but as my health coach always preached bouillion water bouillion water! I've really upped my water today and know I'll at least get half my…
  • I'm doing great! I'm blitzing (back on program for 5 pounds) this week. I love being in fat burning!
  • You might have a sensitivity to soy. If you wanted to stay on plan you could just use the whey products and limit the soy products. My mother has a very sensitive stomach as well and the digestive enzymes were the only things that have ever worked to eleviate her digestive issues. She has stuck it out and lost 50 pounds so…
  • Caffeine actually speeds things up! That's why the calorie burn products contain caffeine (which gives you a real "kick"). I dont' drink coffee but I haven't heard of this slowing any of my clients down. Has your weight loss slowed down?
  • Timrap I added you as a friend... lean on your health coach if you are struggling! Let them know you need them to call you weekly if you feel that is helpful. I love that about my health coach. If I need a daily call she does that until I say otherwise. Your health coach can help carry you to where you want to be. I'll…
  • I'm here! I tend to be MIA during the weekend but I'm on during the week!
  • Awesome! I lost 40 pounds last year and became a health coach to help my family and friends as well. Always excited to meet others that have lost or are losing on this great program! Gained 5 since November so I'm going on a "blitz" to lose those 5. I'll friend you :)
  • My mom has a sensitivity to soy as well, but she just limits her intake to 2 soy products a day. The rest is whey products from Medifast. Totally doable if you want it to be. Good luck with whatever you decide!

  • I know there is something at Starbucks coffee related that is okay to have, but I don't know what it is. Perhaps call Nutrition Support and ask? Or if you have a health coach through Take Shape For Life then ask them. That person would probably know. I know caffeine is great for reving up your metabolism. And of course tea…
  • Hi! I've been a Take Shape For Life client for 4 years. I lost on the program, maintained, then got pregnant, lost on the nursing mom's program and have been maintaining. I'm excited to be a part of a wonderful community of TSFL and Medifast people! Looking forward to following your progress!
  • It might be how you are doing the program. So did I read your post correctly that nutrition support has you on the 4 & 2 plan? 4 Medifast meals and 2 lean and green meals? Are you currently exercising? Did you measure yourself? I have had a client that hardly lost anything her first week in regards to pounds but lost 7…
  • Congrats! That's exciting! I lost around 7 pounds my first week I believe. It was a while ago so it's a little fuzzy :)
  • I love threads like this. I weed out the responses from people with no experience on the plan themselves and really focus on the responses that have life experiences with the program. I as well as 15 others of my friends and family have had amazing success with losing weight using the Medifast diet but also maintaining a…
