Focus on protein first and foremost. It works better for me if I focus on what I NEED to make sure I get in daily vs what I can't/shouldn't have - if that makes sense. I focus on getting 90g of protein daily and at least 60oz of water. I have gained 15lbs in the last few months and am trying to do a reset as well. Feel…

Sleeved 12/5/18 & would love our own group!

Typically the gym only wants your membership for the 1 year and the PT is separate so I'd verify that. I lost 60 lbs mainly doing cardio on my own and then hit a plateau. I hired a personal trainer for 20 sessions. I have been meeting her 2x week. She teaches me a lot of things I never would have tried on my own. We never…

Ok just threw the rest of my coke away and am brewing a pot of tea right now. Thank you to everyone for listing your struggles so I know I'm not the only one. Here's to making next week a LOSS!!! :drinker:

This is excellent! I think visuals always make way more of an impact than just regular text menus. Way to be an awesome inspiration to those of us struggling to hit our guidelines!!

I used to weigh in once a week but I have been trying to do it daily or every other day lately. I like to look back at my progress charts and look at trends. I wasn't getting the detailed info I wanted from the weekly weigh ins but it's all up to you. Weekly is probably the best since it will give a more accurate long term…

Please add me! Im aiming for 18 lb loss in the 12 weeks.
-
WOW!!! Those comparison photos and random pics sure do put it into perspective! Congrats on your progress. You look great! Keep it up :flowerforyou:

It's motivation but discouraging at the same time. It makes me feel lazy! LOL I'm overweight and top heavy so I sit there and wish I had the guts to go do that. But over all, GOOD FOR THEM!

100 calories sounds way too high. I input my weight/age on the machine and trust what it tells me. I also try to take my heart rate every 5 minutes so that's incorporated as well. I usually do 30-40 minutes at a nice, steady pace and burn between 300-400 calories.
-
Your pics got cut off but I can definitely tell in your face & neck! You actually look younger and much more happy! Congrats and keep on going!
-
I look at pictures just because I like pictures but it doesn't play a role in my friend request. I usually add people who have similar weight goals or family & work life that I have from their posts on the message boards.

To shop and thrift stores and buy nothing but designer clothes and have them fit!! I've never been able to do that because I can never fit into anything and I have friends who buy expensive stuff for close to nothing!! I LOVE THIS!!!

The past 3 weeks have been especially tough for me. I have completely jumped off the wagon and filled my body with junk. I'm back on track now and feeling much better. This morning I booked a vacation in Jamaica for December. My hubby and I never had a real honeymoon - we went skydiving - so my secret goal is to fit into…

I was up only 1 lbs which is awesome! I got a new gym back for Christmas and it's packed for our date this afternoon :)

I'd definitely stick with the 1650 as long as it's working. Once you reach your plateau if MFP hasn't adjusted your calories for your weight loss, start by dropping 50-75 calories a day for a week and work down until you start getting results again. You said you just got released for exercise from your pregnancy so I…

WOW you look at least 10 years younger!!! I'm sure you feel it too. Fantastic work!

I agree with this article and the theories behind it. I do get hungrier after a good workout. I typically try to drink 20-32oz of water after my workout is complete (in addition to what I have consumed while working out) and then have just a teaspoon of reduced fat peanut butter. You should have come form of protein after…

Yes!! Our HR director does this and she says it does wonders.

Love the animation!! Congrats on your success. Results are great!

I have also heard the suggestion from a few doctors that you should aim to drink 1/2 of your body weight in oz of water. EX: 200 lb person should drink 100 oz of water. I typically drink about 3 qts of water a day and I feel great. If I drink less than 2qts I feel tired. There is such a thing as too much water but I don't…

I looked at the facility and the members that were there working out. I'm not a big fan of the flashy type gyms Ex: college kids just there to drool all over each other instead of actually working out or professional weight lifters. I am not comfortable in those situations therefore I knew I would not get the most out of…

WOW! You look fantastic!! I really appreciate everyone putting up pictures. I definitely need to read the success stories every day to keep up my motivation. Thanks for sharing!

Wait to see what the doctor has to say. I worked my rear off after my 1st baby (gained 70 lbs during pregnancy) and I was only able to lose 20 lbs. I was going to the gym 5 days a week and for at least 90 minutes each time. He finally gave me a Rx diet supplement, since he could tell I was actually trying, and it was…

I also considered this surgery as my insurance would have paid for it as well. Ultimately after sitting through all of the informative classes and speaking with the surgeon I realized it was not a quick fix. It would be a long, painful and emotionally trying journey, just as "healthy" weight loss is. I decided that if I…
