Yes, and for several months by counting calories alone. Exercise is still pretty new for me. I definitely make better decisions. I log every bite. And I mean EVERY bite. No "taste testing" while making dinner or it's logged. I build recipes in here to be sure that I'm tracking my food correctly and I weigh/measure…

I'm 5'3" and according to BMI my highest weight should be 140. That is what I've officially set as my goal. However, since I've been 200 pounds overweight for years, I suspect that I might be happy with myself long before I get to 140. My unofficial goal is just to get below 200, which is now about 25 pounds away.

THIS. I'm not as small as you are but I've gone from a 28/30 to a 18/20 and don't see it at all. I think I look just as big as I was. I know I'm smaller though. Last night we went out to eat at a mexican place that we used to go to almost weekly before I started losing weight and I said they must have spaced out the booths…

I know that look so well. No one wants to hear that you eat less (or just healthier) and move more.

That oddest one so far is that I will soon be a floating head if I lose anymore. And I still have 80-90 to go to be at the TOP of the "normal" range for my height!

I tend to lose in cycles. Small or no loss (sometimes even a small gain) for a few weeks followed by HUGE drops for a couple of weeks. But like several others said, try eating back at least half of your exercise calories. And quality counts, really look at the types of foods you are eating. I'm not good at this at all. I…

Love it! It's all so true!

Hoping for 140. I'm not sure after being 200 pounds overweight for so long that I can actually get that low.

My current favorite crock pot recipe is below. We usually get a 2.5 pound roast instead of 2, but leave everything else the same. Seriously yummy. It's cheap if you can find a good sale on meat. And about 200 calories per serving if divided into 8 servings. We usually have it with green beans and potatoes. Brown Sugar &…

Trust me, as someone who started with 200 to lose, eat more. You will be so much happier and have much more energy at 1500. And you will not "slow" your weight loss in the long run. You might have drastic drops in the beginning eating that low, but it would slow and stall out eventually, where as if you are eating your…

30ds kicked my butt. I never managed to complete it :( I'm going to have to give it another try now that I've lost more.

I had to reply to this. I know, without a doubt, that my husband is not attracted to my body type. We were friends before we were married and I saw the girls he went for. They were what I would call "cheerleader" types: blonde and very petite. Essentially, the exact opposite of me. That being said, I know I am beautiful…

35 here.

I don't eat the chips. At all. But if you love the chips and feel they are worth the calories, then count out a few and stick to that serving. I almost always order fajitas, but I only eat the meat/grilled veggie part. I skip the tortillas and plate that comes with the cheese, sour cream, and guacamole.

I'm 5'3" and have always been overweight, so I also have no idea where I actually want to be. I'm setting my goal at 140 (highest weight for a "healthy" BMI) but keeping in mind that this may need to be adjusted depending on muscle or how I look/feel once I get closer to there.

Yep, this! More often than I'd actually care to admit!

Congrats! You look great!

You look great! I can't wait to get to where you are!

Try to get your net as close to your goal as possible. MFP is designed so that exercise earns you more to eat. Your body really does need those calories just to function. Tip for just starting out: don't get hung up on *what* your eating. Yes, healthy foods are better, but it can be super overwhelming to do all of it at…

Set lots of mini goals and don't think about the total! You can add me if you want. I've lost 112, got 88 to go still.

THIS times a million

Amazing! So inspiring, thank you for sharing. Loved the video!

THIS. It's how they get you to pay so much for a pair of jeans.

Honestly? I treat weight loss like a one person fight club. First rule is don't talk about it. Too many people are negative and others just don't get why I'm so "strict" with what I eat. Now that I'm down this much, I do talk about it some because people approach me and ask questions, but I pretty much never bring it up. I…

I have so many thoughts on this. I don't think that anyone should lose weight to become skinny for any reason other than to make themselves happy. If someone is happy with how they are, but think they should lose weight because they don't look like a model or because a chart says they should, then that's crap. I tried for…

This is AMAZING! And just the inspiration I need to pull my head out of my @ss and start taking C25K seriously. Thank you for sharing!

I'd reevaluate whether or not 145 is even realistic. You said you've gone down a size, but not dropped weight, so it sounds like your body is changing even if the scale isn't. The scale is not the end all be all to fitness. Get a tape measure, evaluate your body fat % and let go of the "perfect" number.

Great progress! And when you copy the code from photobucket, you just need to change the IMG to img to get it to show up. There's a way to resize in photobucket, but I'm not sure on that. :)
