I'm in, I'll keep this post updated on progress. Sets of 40 should be good I think. 11:30 - First Set of 40 done.

Too much protein wont do you any harm, just check what else is in the shake so it doesn't adversely impact anything else.

I second everyone that has mentioned peeing. Why is it when I am 15 mins into a 45 min run my bladder decides "thats enough, i need emptied AGAIN" Other odds and sods I come up with... (when working the heavy bag) - "Is everyone looking at me while I beat the **** out of this?" (on the treadmil) - "Dont look at the time...…

Sometimes you just cant see it yourself. My mrs tells me she can see a big difference in how I look and my shoulders/arms, but I cant see it, and TBH I doubt I ever will be able to look at myself in a mirror and not see bits where I go "eeew, that needs work". Just trust your friends when they say you look great :)

I think under cardio if you put in strength it has a selection, I dont use it as I only count cardio calories but its what I've heard...

Hello from a fellow Jock. Everyone's real nice around here and great motivation to keep going. -Barry (Edinburgh)

This is what I am working towards at the moment and I am managing to fit it around work so far. I'm at college doing a level 2 gym instructor course at the moment, that will lead on to a NASM level 3 Personal Trainer course which is what most gyms etc look for when they are employing personal trainers. If you need any more…

I've always found the best prices at myprotein, there stuff is decent quality as well.
-
This is the truth! From a fellow jock lol.

As above really, as long as your not eating refined sugars then you will be fine.
-
I think its just your body adjusting. Do you mix up your cardio work or is it the same thing consistently? If you dont vary it your body can start to get accustomed to doing the same thing time and again.

Everybody has time to exercise, it takes less than a minute to punch out 20 sit ups. As soon as you get up, before you go to bed, while the dinner is cooking. As said above it is all about managing your time and this can be hard. Personally, I used to get up at 0730 to get to work for 0900. I now get up at 0545 so I can…

Big gamer here. Although don't get to play as much as I would like to nowadays. Sony fanboy btw. Love racing games, RPGs and action adventure. Have recently started playing blops online so if you wanna add me my PSN is the same as my forum name. Top games for me recently have been: Black Ops Heavy Rain Uncharted

Cant see anything wrong with that. Its supposed to be the main meal, mine is normally 100-200 cals bigger than my lunch but it depends what I'm eating.
-
Grapes, apples, bananas, any kind of fruit or veg really. Remember the goal is not to starve yourself, if you are hungry then your body needs to eat something.

Welcome, I've only been here a week and its full of lovely supportive and knowledgeable people, tis an awesome forum.

As long as your getting your protein and iron from somewhere it certainly wont do you any harm, after all, zero cholesterol cant be bad. I dont think it will speed up your metabolism but if you can live without delicious chickens and turkeys and still get your vitamins and minerals then it will do you no harm.

I cant back this up with any evidence, but chewing gum has helped me relieve my hunger pangs. I'm used to sitting at my desk and having a bag of sweets or something so I wasn't used to not nibbling something. Chewing gum has solved this for me. Worth a shot. If it doesn't work at least you still have a pack of gum :)

This is bang on the money. I used to hate water on its own, now I drink loads of the stuff and think it tastes awesome.

Caffeine has been proven to boost your metabolism, to get rid of it is a waste. Most peoples caffeine comes from coffee (with milk/cream and sugar) or fizzy juice which is obviously not good for you. Caffeine itself is fine, it'll give you a boost if you have some before you go to the gym and make you work harder for…

Yup, happens to the best of us. Just take the day off and you'll be back hitting it hard again tomorrow.
-
Its not a choice between one or the other as said before. You need to balance cardio and strength to get the most from your workout. Without knowing what you do at the gym at the moment its hard to say what you should do/change but remember that muscle will weigh more than fat so you are likely to put on weight if you are…
-
But quite nice and really cheap, oooh, temptation lol.
-
A not so nasty way to shift some water weight is with a thermoputic fat stripper. Take the tablets three times a day and you should notice a difference. Its still only water weight though...
-
You need a mix of cardio and weight training otherwise your body will start burning off the muscle instead of fat, so while you will loose your 10lbs it will have been muscle thats been lost. You'll wanna hit the cardio hard, you wont like it and it wont be fun, but its worth it, then do a few weights exercises working…

Wrap around headphones, like these... http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B00000J9Z7.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg

Awesome, I wish my gym had a movie theatre room :(
-
Shame it doesn't work that way, the only way you'll get a last minute improvement is doing a nasty weight cut to get rid of water and they are soooo not fun.
