  • No. South Florida and it's 81d right now.
  • I loved "Blameless" and I am waiting for "Heartless" to be available at the Library. I hope you are also reading "Finishing School" series By Carriger. The series is really good and it’s a prequel to the “Parasol Protectorate” one.
  • My husband has been great because when I told him that I wanted to try MFP, exercising, and heavy lifting he encouraged me and joined me in this adventure. I also have to give credit to J (@Loftearmen.) He is not logging anymore, but he was the first one I friended here that was so dedicated to his sport, powerlifting. He…

  • Hi!! My name is Lynn and I am also an avid reader. I’m currently reading "Outlander" by Diana Gabaldon. My latest reads were “Horde” by Anne Aguirre, “Quintana of Charyn” by Melina Marchetta, and “Dark Wolf” by Christine Feehan.
  • I don’t; I just go. If I wait to be motivated, I will never do it. Life and people tend to get in the way.
  • I used to accept all friend requests until I noticed that the majority of the people that sent the FRs without a message never interact and stop logging for days. It’s my space and I need to be comfortable around my wall. I clean my list regularly because I’m not going to invest in someone that is not willing to put the…
  • 1. “The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do in Life and Business” by Charles Duhigg 2. “I love you but I am not in love with you” by Andrew G. Marshall 3. “This Present Darkness” by Frank Peretti (This is the book that started my love for reading)
  • "a la derecha, a la izquierda" swing, swing, swing....
  • She is not upset, but just playing with you. You are in the chit-chat, fun, and games area and that is what we do here. Have fun.
  • There is a whole community of Spanish speakers here in MPG. If you go to the top of the main page of the community and change the language to Spanish it will redirect you there. Is not as active as the English one but most members log daily. I have a few and they post in Spanish all the time. When you are done just change…
  • Do a little research and you will find out around this site all the stories about how Adipex doesn’t work for lasting results. The other members of the community are just trying to save you time, money, and tears due to your weight creeping back up. A few years ago, I tried Apidex and the B-12 injections; lost 20lbs, cried…

  • Awesome info and link!! Thanks.
  • Adobo, sazon, cumin, garlic, bay leaves, paprika, and salt.
  • Traditional Puerto Rican Christmas dinner. Arroz con gandules (rice and pigeon peas), Pernil (pork picnic), pasteles (like tamales), green salad, green bananas, tembleque (coconut custard), flan, and arroz con dulce (like rice pudding.) Oh, and of course the coquito ( coconut, evaporated milk, and rum drink.)
  • I read 211 books in 2012, but only 111 as of today for 2013. I am 55 books behind for my challenge. My reading has gone down considerably since I started with MFP. I really need to get my act together! Good job Btw. I have to look into some of the books that you mentioned. Thanks.
  • OMG! “Curtsies & Conspiracies” was sooo good! I love Carriger too. I just found her and I’ve read four of her books in the last three weeks. The first two for the “Parasol” Series and both books for the “Finishing school” series. She is just an awesome writer.

  • Hi! I've been around MFP for over a year ,comment/post a lot, and log daily. I've been lifting for about 8months, completed two rounds of Stronglifts, and I just started cycle 3 of 5/3/1. Feel free to add me.
  • No grapes!! Choking hazard for little kids. Whole food are the best. Baked chicken, turkey meatballs or meatloaf, rice, beans, lentils, good cheese, no sugar added applesauce, frozen peas (heated but not fully cooked (mushy) because it has a better consistency and can be a good finger food), baked potatoes, etc… Mix things…
  • I work full time and go to the after work with kid and all (They stay in the childcare room.) I started with Stronglifts 5x5 three times a week and a long walk Saturdays with the family. Now I'm doing 5/3/1(lifting) and running during my lunch for 30 minutes three times a week. Just look at your schedule, create a routine…
  • Yes, I lost twenty pound with it, but I also almost lost my husband because of the horrible mood swings and episodes of rage. I gained the twenty pounds plus some back when I stopped them. In addition, I had to deal with the emotional aftermath, the anxiety, and work on fixing my relationships. So not worth it.
  • I am finishing cycle two of 5/3/1. I’ve been lifting since February and loving it.
  • Bumping this one for you since I know that there are a lot of people that can give you good advice and ideas on how to deal with the situation. Never been through it myself so I don't feel I am qualified to speak about it.
  • My five-year-old daughter does not like to eat to eat meat (chicken, beef, or pork) because she says it takes too long to chew. Yeah, she doesn’t like chewing. On the other hand, she has no problems with beans, lentils, or other grains. So, she ends up eating a lot of rice and some kind of stewed bean most nights. I also…
  • I never used a leash for any of my kids but thought about ALL the time. Both my kids are “runners” and think is “cute” to run away from me. I spent years trying to teach them that the parameters I set are for their benefit, but they still push against them. When I was pregnant with my second, and two weeks away from my…

  • I embraced my curls and found products that help style it without the use of the flat iron or blow dryer. New ways to style your hair can be fun too. I also had to make the decision to change my habits, sacrifice my “style” , and some of my time in order to achieve my goals.
  • Just start paying attention to how you react to certain foods. Increase your complex carbs and proteins. I love carbs and I will never take them out of my diet, but now I know that, if I want to function, I can’t pair certain carbs together. A meal that I can’t eat for lunch? Mashed potatoes, corn, chicken breast, and a…
