  • I always have a good supply of frozen veggies (mostly broccolli) in the steamable bags. I also always have on hand turkey burgers and salmon burgers. You can cook a salmon burger quickly and eat with a bag of steamed veggies for a filling and relativley low calorie dinner.

  • boil them and put a bunch of salt in the water (like2 tablespoons). THis should help them peel easier. Also, if possible, peel them under running water. The stream of water gets inbetween the shell and the membrane and makes peeling a breeze.

  • If you like crisp apples, one I havent seen mentioned is a Cameo apple. They are very crisp and juicy and more sweet than tart.
