If it is a threat, and he is being an *kitten* about it, then I would leave him or tell him that is unacceptable to you. You can only do it for yourself. If he genuinely cares about your health, and this is his plea to you to try to help you, then I would tell him that while you appreciate he wants you to be happy this is…

I don't look at MFP as a diet. I look at it as a lifestyle change. My husband knows I log my food, and exercise, and because of MFP we have started eating right as a family. For me, it's important to have that support in life, and I think when my whole family does it (hubby + 3 kids) it makes it easier to stick with.

Wow! These are AMAZING! Y'all are ALL so inspirational! Keep up the good work.

Eyes first. I have a thing for eyes. And then usually smile and overall personality. After that: I like a little bit of arm muscle. Sexy!

I went to college at 18, but I didn't technically live on my own until after I graduated from college at 22. That's when I got my own place and paid my own living expenses.

Buying local/organic, IMO, is pretty important. My husband was like yours. He didn't understand why I wanted to buy organic meats, until we watched a few videos and read a few studies together about the corn-fed beef industry in the USA. Seriously, this adds to all sorts of problems, ecoli-wise, and nutritionally is not…

I love this photo of me from my wedding. I was 24, and I was in the best shape of my life. When I look at this photo, I remind myself I can get there again. This is a photo of photo, so sorry about the quality!

I live in the US, and I generally buy cheap workout clothes from Target. They have the Champion brand. I hang dry my work out clothes after washing, so they generally wear for a long time. They also have great sales, so this works well for me!

When I reached the top part of my ideal weight the last time I lost, people kept telling me to stop losing weight. They said I looked great. My doctor told me I could stand to lost another 10-15 lbs, but I knew I couldn't maintain. I ended up maintaining at 5 lbs ABOVE my ideal weight, but I seriously looked great and I…

I get on the scale about every other day, and I can fluctuate about 1-3 pounds. I only input weight here weekly (if I've lost or gained).

Maybe try eating back 3/4ths of your exercise calories. It could be you're overestimating your exercise calories. Also, sometimes for me when I'm in a plateau I try changing my meal structure. For instance: I usually eat a large breakfast, medium sized lunch and a small dinner. Sometimes if I'm at a plateau I need to…

Tae Kwon Do (I've been doing it for 2.5 years now). It's a great sport with built in accountability partners. Stress relief and weight loss benefit! I also play tennis, although not as much as I'd like to, and I do cycling (mostly on a stationary bike), and I run (although I'm overcoming a stress fracture to my tibia, so I…

I'll tell you what I think is disgusting about it: -She's blaming her weight on her past -She's saying that other people's expectations have led her not to want to lose weight (doctors who worry about her health, a lady on the street while she's out walking) -She's visibly insecure, but saying she has a right to be that…

The point is that she is trying to justify something that she knows is bad for her. People do this EVERY day: They LIE to themselves. She says that she is fighting against what society wants her to look like and be, but all she is doing is LYING to herself and telling herself that her weight does not matter and that she is…

I agree with you about Adele. I think we need more role models of people who are actually happy with themselves and trying to better themselves, rather than this woman who is obviously unhappy with herself and doesn't know how to make a life altering change. She needs to stop thinking about other people's expectations and…

^^Yes, true, but have you ever been pressured to make a change? Does it work? I pressured my husband to stop smoking for 10 years, and it didn't work. All it did was ruin our relationship. He finally did stop smoking, but it took him having a SERIOUS health consequence. Some people think they are invincible and that all…

Yes...minus the Hawaiian bra!

It is her choice, even though she is just slowly killing herself. People who don't care about themselves can find ways to be content with all sorts of bad behavior: be it overeating, not exercising, doing drugs, sex addiction...you name it. She obviously has deep seated self esteem issues, and she's fighting against one…

Plan fun activities on your rest day. Don't just sit around and do nothing. Reward yourself by reading a good book or going to the movie, or having an alcoholic beverage (if you like them), and think about how good it will feel to exercise again on Saturday!!!

28% or so. Would love to get down into the 20-22% range.
