Yeah... same here... people get inactive and then I'm alone... no support.

I do not have diabetes -- thankfully!

Cool! We all learned something new. Thanks for sharing.

The one I bought (http://www.republicoftea.com/moroccan-mint-green-full-leaf/p/V00611/) is "gunpowder green" tea. I had to laugh at the name "gunpowder" first ... why did they name it that? I did see the Matcha and wondered about it, but could not afford another can, so left it for next time.…

This is the one we are drinking from The Republic of Tea: http://www.republicoftea.com/product.aspx?p=V00611 It is loose leaf and comes in a tin can.

5'3" and my MFP is set to 1250, but I have trouble eating that much most days. Also, no one is discussing age which is a factor.

I wish I was brave enough to post my sizes here. I always thought I held my weight well as people never think I weigh as much as I do (even when I was skinny) because I have a lot of natural muscle (genetic). However, I must say my clothing sizes are a lot larger than what has been posted, so that makes no sense. Also, I…

Sounds yummy and I think I could even make it for one.

I've been doing this with V-8 mini juice cans: http://blog.hummiesworld.com/2012/09/cold-weathers-coming-soup.html and varying the ingredients. Love it! And I get stuffed. Oh, the black bean one above sounds great... thinking how to adjust that for me... I would use canned black beans... and the base in that recipe is just…

12 servings though... with just me and hubby eating, I cannot figure out how to break that down. I am learning to cook for 2.... so I'd have to figure a substitute for the cream soups and I'd use real cheese rather than Velveeta.

This is the first time I have ever dieted in my life, so I am still "listening" to my body. My entire life I've only eaten 500 to 600 calories a day, but now I'm getting close to 1,000 a day. I don't notice eating more or less to affect my weight, although everyone recommends eating more. However, what I have noticed is…

Potato chips! Actually anything potato. Potatoes are my enemy!

..... having babies widens the hips....... ..................just say'in

I'm sorry it's not better, but we can relate. There have been many times I've had to use the wall to help myself get down the hallway to the bathroom first thing in the morning.

I agree with all of the above. Again as others, I'm not in medical field. I've suffered from heel spurs for a long time now. I used to get shots in my heels regularly ( would have to have it twice, two weeks apart, to be effective, but it would wear off), but now I've learned to just deal with the pain. It's not bad enough…

Thanks, I thought of that. I had to choose between changing my friends or making it private. Having it viewable by friends is motivating for me, as well as viewing what others eat, so I decided I need to make a friend change.

Thanks for all the invites. I hope the new friends will be encouragement for me and I can kick start this again in the morning. What I want people to learn from this is not to judge others. Not everyone's body is the same. I have been existing on 500 - 600 calories a day for over 40 years and I have always felt healthy,…

Welcome Lori! It always takes time to get used to a new thing.

My hubby went to the doctor last week and discovered he'd lost 5 pounds ... probably because of my diet! He doesn't need to loose.
-
I love tea! I've never heard of a desert tea. What is it? Still scanning the rest of this thread to see if someone answered that... or I'll google it.

Potato chips!

Feel free to add me too...
-
Hi Diane and Sharon! Oh, some haven't posted in the threads, so click on the icon that shows all the group members to find everyone.
-
I've added everyone as a friend. Let me know if you need helping learning your way around here. I'm slowly figuring it out... more user friendly than another site.

5'3" -- it's encouraging to hear that shortness makes it harder and that it's not in my head.

I live in Cape Girardeau Missouri, grew up in Fenton, Missouri, and graduated from Eureka High School.

I saw Bernie was on and was thinking -- how do I find her -- I checked the group and there she was. This group was a good idea I think just so we can find each other and add as friends. I sent you an add invite Bernie.
