Wow... I do not agree with saying that if your not male you have no right to comment - at all. The Dr the OP is going to could be male - are we going to disregard anything they say because of gender?! NO. However the point is the male in question didn't actually offer any constructive comment until he was goaded into it.

You said it yourself - its better to be walking, enjoying it and getting what you need from it, than to start a high impact aerobics, hate it and give up. If its working for you ignore the doubters.

Check out the eat more to weigh less group, and they will explain why you may need to up your calories. However I do think its important to point out that everybody is different, and if you are happy on this and your body is happy on this then keep at it.

If someone can tell me what boobie friday and vio friday are, I can say I learned that...??? Also, I learned that people are only ever successful at weight loss when they eat the MFP calorie goal of 1200, except when they 'eat more to weigh less'. My first day on MFP also taught me that every single person who claims that…

I hate most veggies!! I can only eat them if I 'disguise' them - so i make lots of soup and stirfrys!! Pretty much the only veg intake I get. I love fruit, but its the sugar and carbs in it that make me want to switch some out for veg...

I agree with some of the posts that you should stop worrying about what the others call a binge - delete them if it bothers you, and move on. However, its obvious that some people don't understand the difference between an overeating binge and a binge. Binge eating is an actual eating disorder, it is NOT the same as…

I really don't get it :( Can't I just set MFP calorie goal to my BMR, 1440 (according to fat to fit radio), and on a non-workout day eat 1440, and on a workout day eat 1440 PLUS calories burned?! So that my NET intake is always = to my BMR? PLEASE help!!!

Great - thanks a lot :)

Hi. I'm not really 'new' to MFP but havn't really made any friends yet. I struggle with Binge-eating disorder and have found that its really hindering my weighht loss progress (obviously). Thought I'd check this group out in the hope that I can find some support, and that I could maybe support others too.

Hi, I'm 5ft 1" and I weigh 189lbs down from 210lbs .... I eat 1200 calories a day and tend to eat back my exercise calories around 4 days a week, and then don't bother the other 3 and have steadily lost 1.5lbs a week. Maybe you would be better getting your fat % checked out and go by that instead? I think thats more…

Sorry, I should quickly point out that was meant to say "as long as I am not eating it (chocolate) every day. Obviously I'm not saying I don't eat somedays.

I think a lot of the advice given here is really sensible but it is fair to say that it is YOUR body, and what works for someone may not work for someone else. Personally, I try to look at it as a lifestyle rather than a regime - I intend to carry on living like this forever. If I am hungry, I eat into some of my exercise…

I vote you be brave and share! This is something that constantly worries me so I would be interested to see :) Well done on your weightloss!
