I just discovered Good Thins (Hjc) - Spinach and Garlic, 23 pieces (130 calories). They are great and available at Target.

Saving for later.

I am back on here after gaining some of the weight I had lost back. But now I'm going to be a bridesmaid (not a bride) in 9 months and I want to look my best for all the photos!

Thanks everyone! I know it's irrational, I just have these flashbacks of gym class and always coming in last. Once it cools down a little (and I'm less anxious about jogging in front of others) I'll bring it outside to get ready. I'll try upping the incline a little on the treadmill in the meantime. Looking forward to my…

I'm making this tonight but I don't know how it will turn out. Frozen drinks are usually good because it takes longer to drink them. http://www.hungry-girl.com/show/happy-hour-slammin-slimmed-down-strawberry-daiquiri-recipe

I have a Kindle Fire and I love it so much! I like it for magazine because while it's not as easy as reading the paper versions they are cheaper. I get OK and Us Weekly delivered to my kindle each week and it's great!

I'm at 1270 calories. Today was kind of a bad day for me because I didn't exercise and therefore didn't get extra calories, but my diary is open for anyone to take a look.

I'm in! I have a wedding to go to in Sept or Oct for one of my closest friends from high school. I want to look my best and that's one of my motivators! I also have a "wedding guest" dress I want to fit back into.

try exercising in the morning to give yourself a boost. And as soon as you get out of bed make it and it will provide another barrier to climbing back in under the covers.

Thanks for the share! I'm a vegetarian but the fast food ads are so convincing sometimes it makes me want to eat a burger, so those photos really illustrate how much false advertisement there is. I also like this page (about the McRib): http://foodfacts.info/mcrib/

GW: 170 CW: 222 SW: 230 Height: 5'7 Age: 26 Female Anyone similar?

I'm not sure the wedding I'm going to this year has bridesmaids but I'm considering myself an honorary one since the bride is one of my closest friends. It will be a reunion of a lot of my friends from HS so I'm using that as motivation to get in shape. So while I don't exactly fit in the category I'm not too far off. Feel…

I have not tried this recipe yet but it's on my list! Curried Lentil Soup http://www.nutritionmd.org/recipes/view.html?recipe_id=193

I have 50 (or more!) pounds to lose this year as well. I'm struggling with being patient because I know all the weight won't come off in a week. I need to be content with 1 lb at a time! Feel free to add

I'm in too!

I also thought it was a little bit of an advertisement for that very expensive juicer he carted around. If you look those guys up you will find a link to their store. Definitely not an unbiased take on juice diets.

It was actually not my Mom this time (although it normally is) which made it more painful, I think. I just told this person how I felt and she is sorry and understands my feelings. It makes me feel a little better, not 100%. I will just use this as motivation next time I find myself slipping. However, I need to remember…

thank you for everyone who responded! sometimes you just need to vent. I know that people (for the most part) have good intentions, but it doesn't always come across that way. I know my weight will not always be an issue and I'm sure I'll learn a good lesson from all of this, but I'm still looking forward to being "myself"…

Similar story for me too! I am about 5'6" and weigh about 230lbs. I lost a lot of weight after college but then gained it all (plus some) back. I've been a lot less social and a lot more self-conscious which has had a negative impact on my life overall. I am ready to get my life - and my weight - back on track! Welcome to…

I like the third one the best. I think it looks the most wedding-guest like.

I think it's because vegan is a choice that is harder to make than the status quo of being an omnivore. Most people did not really "chose" to eat meat, but many people probably made the choice to be vegan so when people say things about veganism they probably will get more defensive because it is like the mission statement…

I like to cube it and add some olive oil and cayenne pepper then roast in the oven.

I have some similar goals - I'm 26, 5'7" and trying to lose around 50lbs by the summer. I've only been on here for about a week but I'm feeling pretty confident right now....
-
I'm almost a week in and have found motivational friends to be really great! Feel free to add me if you want!
-
we have similar goals! I wish losing 1lb/day would be the norm for 50 days but I don't think it's going to be that easy....
-
Finals are tough so it is impressive you are still on MFP during them! I remember all the chocolate and coffee I used to get me through mine....
-
Welcome! Hope it was a great first day for you

do you think rice milk that you can buy in stores is similar? just add cinnamon?
-
I think that sounds like a great reason! I just joined too and it seems like there are a lot of people on here that are very supportive and encouraging, which is great especially when you are just starting out.

I'm new too! If anyone wants to add me I will do my best to provide encouragement :glasses:
