Well, I'm one of the guys that says you definitely can build muscle with a deficit.. but especially in your case, because the muscle had atrophied beyond its normal state. Your fibers do have a form of "muscle memory", so they can rebuild quickly once you start walking and putting those fibers to work again. It is much…

What do you mean by that exactly?

You can build muscle on a deficit.. not sure who told you otherwise. It's especially possible if you already have excess fat on your body and you consume good amounts of protein in your diet. Your body will burn the fat for energy and use the protein to rebuild your muscle fibers. Also should be noted that since you've…

No not much.. which is why I'm not so concerned about putting on some fat along with the muscle. Though I do have enough fat on my belly to hide any real definition in the abs.. so eventually I might need to go through a cutting phase down to maybe 7% fat in order to get the 6-pack. Not anytime soon though. On second…

Well I'm not referring to any calculator or anything here.. just my weight, which I check every morning before eating/drinking anything and after using the bathroom.. Anyway, I did just purchase a skinfold (caliper) tool. I used http://www.freedieting.com/tools/body_fat_calculator.htm with the caliper which gave me a…

Yeah I don't know about the creatine exactly, but I don't believe it takes "weeks".. maybe one week. You can speed up the process by going through the "loading" phase, which is what I did when I started. When you're loading you, you take 3-4x daily serving for the first 5 days or so in order to bring your creatine levels…

You're a girl right? 99% of girls won't "bulk up" because they don't have enough testosterone to gain muscle like that. If you see women bulking up, they're probably taking steroids.. Anyway, as a guy, I drink a protein shake after working out.. though probably this wouldn't be what you'd want to do unless you're lifting…

Yeah I should message them huh, thanks for the tip.

I would say, to reduce "jiggle" you'd want to lose fat (which running will definitely do) but also tone your muscles, which running might not do so well. Maybe you should do some weight-training.

I've been using pro complex Gainer, which has 60g of protein per serving, and 650cal (from quality sources). I add a teaspoon of creatine monohydrate to the shaker, as well as 4 tablespoons of peanutbutter and a couple oz of milk. Makes for a great (and tasty) post-workout shake. Totals over 1050cal and nearly 80g protein…
