Hello ladies! I am also due in December sometime between the 1st and the 12th... we'll figure that out later. This will be my 3rd child. My girls are 4 and 2 and I haven't quite lost all the weight since having my 2 year old. I am starting this this pregnancy out 20 lbs heavier so I really don't want to lose control!

This is so true!

Hi! I'm kinda in the same place... not new, but committing again. I would love to have an accountability buddy! I am 31 with 2 little girls, but am hoping to add another one next year... so I need to get my butt in gear! Feel free to add me!

I recently watched it, and then tried the "reboot" program... Maybe its because I'm still nursing (the website told me not to do it) or because it was TOM but I was such a crabby witch by 3pm that I found my nearest not fruit/vegetable food and ate it. Not for me.

I've been looking at the Fitbit because I think it has some cool functions. That said, I have a Polar HRM and it was worth every penny. Its motivating to see how many calories you actually burn in a workout. It helps me to keep going and keeps me working hard. It is also great because most estimates of calories burned are…

I used to work that shift! I don't know what your job is, but it really helped me to wear a pedometer. I would challenge myself to take more steps each night. I also packed 4-6 (healthy) snacks and ate them throughout the night instead of a meal. During the day I could only sleep when my daughter napped (which wasn't…

It was showing here in Bismarck... and I thought about going... but I have 2 little kids. I did make my husband sit through it a few years ago... AND I figured that since I was in Manitou singers I had to witness it 1st had 4 times... so thats enough for me... at least until my kids are grown!

Hello! My name is Amanda and I lived in MN for my entire life, Faribault, Hastings, Northfield (St. Olaf) Burnsville, and finally Rosemount, where I thought I'd spend the rest of my life... until my hubby's work moved us to Bismarck, ND. I'd like to think that I am still MN nice so here I am! I think we get the weather…

I did this a few weeks ago pushing my 50+ lbs worth of little girls up a huge hill. The only thing I could do is walk and stretch. It still hurts a bit some days but its getting better! I hope you find more answers!

I'm not sure what poke cake is exactly but I have this recipe with diet soda and jello too?? You can use any flavor... and you can omit the frosting... 1 box orange cake mix (un-prepared) or 1 yellow cake mix & 1 Tbsp orange extract 1 can diet orange soda 2 small pkgs. SF orange Jell-o (un-prepared) 1 small pkg. SF vanilla…

I have the same problem with overdoing it at night. I have found if I don't eat enough fat during the day I am craving something "bad" at night. If I eat some healthy fats during the day I am better off. If I find that I want something at night I try to have a bunch of water or some tea and brush my teeth. That usually…

I have that exact problem right now... BUT I'm pregnant so... I used to get up every morning and just do it. If I got my workouts in right away I felt more energized all day. I never actually "wanted" to get up, but on the days I would skip, I certainly felt blah...

I changed my food categories from Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner to 4 hour time periods starting at Midnight (12-4, 4-8, 8-12...) That way if I'm working overnight or if I'm off and sleeping at night, I always account for a 24 hour period. I've found that to be the easiest system...

Hello Ladies. I recently joined y'all on this thread. I am newly pregnant and just trying to maintain for now. I haven't had much luck with exercising due to a cold and extreme fatigue! I weighed in before I found out I was pg at 170 and am up now to 170.4...

Hello Ladies! Just wondering if you'd let me join your group. I was actually reading along for awhile while DH and I were thinking about TTC. I found out last week that I am indeed preggo and would like to keep myself healthy this time around. I haven't gotten an official due date as of yet but will be making an…

I work nights as well, although only 8 hr shifts. I also only work a .6 so I've got 8 days (nights) off to turn myself around. I changed my food diary to 4 hour increments starting at midnight (so Midnight- 4Am, 4AM-8AM...). Its difficult on the days I switch myself back from night to day and also on the days (nights) I…

I work nights and have my food diary set up for Midnight-4am, 4am-8am, 8am-noon, Noon-4pm, 4pm-8pm and 8pm-Midnight. That way whether I'm working or not I log my food for a 24 hour period. It sucks on days that I am up most of the day and night, but I found that it was too confusing to do any other way...

I hear ya! Hubby and I only have every other weekend off and those weekends are tough! To top it off we're heading out to a hotel/waterpark with our daughter for the entire weekend! I feel like I'm packing for a month with all the healthy snacks/meals I'm taking... but I do NOT want to break down and buy a pizza from the…

Those are the days (evenings) when I have a big bowl of my daughter's cereal... Not horrible for you... except for all the sugar! YUM!

I make my own honey mustard dressing (goes great with chicken). 1/4 cup mayo (I use Fat Free) 1 Tbsp Honey 1 Tbsp Mustard (I use spicy brown) 1/2 Tbsp Lemon Juice I think its delicious! Using FF mayo makes it pretty darn low cal/low fat. Probably not as good as vinegar based dressings, but those just don't do it for me...…

Congratulations! I hope to be joining your "misery" in the next month or so. I'm stuck between wanting to be pregnant and wanting to lose more first. I think that if you stick within your recommended calories and eat healthy, you'll be able to stick with your 15lb goal. Best of luck on your journey!

I'm totally in a different area (mn) but seriously, just this little bit of snow cramps my style. Not just wanting to eat but I can't even take my daughter out for a walk without some serious work! Today I had to lift her and the stroller (and a gallon of milk on the way home) over a foot high pile of snow. I guess its…

I work the night shift as well, but my hours are 11:30p to 8:00a. I log anything after midnight as the next day. It found that if I did it the other way I went way over on my calories the night I went back to work and on my last night of work (I work 6 in a row). Anyway, its rough on the days that I come home from work and…

Okay so I'm also nowhere near you, I'm in MN but so far we all have momma/mama in our names? I'm 28 with 1 little girl!

Ohhh I just got this one today in a motivational e-mail... "It is impossible for a man to learn what he thinks he already knows." (Epictetus) I like it... Its true for learning to be healthy, as well as most other aspects of life! Never stop learning.

Welcome! This site is great, but the trick is you have to use it! Be honest with yourself too. I am also in MN and it can be tough with this nasty cold weather and snow, to get up and get moving. If you need any support I'm here for you! Oh and I have a 16.5 month old girl...!
