Absolutely a valid question, don't worry. I'm a uni student and I noticed that I wasn't eating meat so much any more; for a few reasons. I couldn't afford meat other than the cheapest frozen chicken breasts (I didn't eat mince or sausages before I was veggie anyway) which raised quality issues in my mind, I generally only…

I would love to make this but I refuse to use box mixes, lol

Fair enough - and well done on the weightloss. But do you not feel like you're short changing yourself on the achievement somewhat?

Having a belief in a superior system doesn't make you lose weight or eat healthier at all though - going to the gym and not going to McDonalds is what does that. So it's an irrelevant topic on a weightloss forum.

I'm happier blaming my lack of motivation and exercise on a rising number on the scales rather than some inane mystical entity, and equally my success on my hard work than some supreme being that doesn't exist.

I lost weight off my feet. All my shoes are a size 6 - I am now a small size 5. I have to buy all brand new shoes :( Also - not being sure whether you've lost inches or if you're a size smaller because the store is using vanity sizing...

As an English lass I could probably name most of the counties in England if I was given enough time but but would be seriously bad at the Scottish and Welsh ones!

I've only ever seen about five tattoos that I've actually liked and thought 'yes, that was a good idea'. But meh, as long as it's not my body...

It's taken me about 8 tries to like Reeces PB Pieces, and even then I hate the chocolate around the outside.

Chinese take out is my weakness especially as the chinese is just around the corner from my student house! I try to limit myself to once a fortnight if not less though because it's not just bad for my weight, but also flares up my IBS and costs a lot! But they do handmade spring rolls and their salt and pepper chips are…

Me too, well - kinda. I've started running three times a week and I've noticed in just about 6 weeks that I've started to develop my leg muscles a lot more than they normally are. My butt is looking more toned too!

I'm 5ft 6. I was at 145lbs for a couple of years with a plateau (after coming down from 175lbs) but now I'm at around 134lbs. The 10lbs or so really do make a difference... At 134lbs my stomach is mostly flat and my thighs - what I consider to my worst part - aren't rubbing together at all really when I walk or run. At…

Oops, you were too quick for me! What are military press ups? I have taken to doing tricep curls in the shower with bottls of shampoo but this is something I tend to forget doing :)

Perfect, if only I had two chairs (student house with a scummy landlord who hasn't replaced anything since 1965...) is there anything else I could do?
-
Two things... 1) wear a sports bra to the gym and rock it ;) 2) run a marathon. My goal for this year is to run a 5k and (hopefully) a 10k :)

Love them :D I always manage about 5 minutes then I collapse and die though XD One day I'll do one all the way through!

Just being with my BF would be enough. This is the third VD that we've been apart. **** long distance relationships.

In my teenage years I was overweight - topped out at a BMI of about 29 I think. Now after 4 years of slow progress I'm a much more reasonable 21.5ish and people (including my parents and grandparents) have felt the need to tell me that I look emaciated and underweight. Not sure they've ever seen an underweight person...

Same... mmm, maybe I need to go a bit slower on them then! Shame cos a lovely big salad is all I want right now but I guess I need to mix it up a little.

Every day is a completely different one to the last. When I have a bad day eating, when I go to bed, that's it, the end of it. Yes. I ate an entire packet of cookies yesterday night. Did I take that to mean that I could eat another pack of cookies in one day today? No. I got back on track and back to my diet plan, and…

Seriously, not fair. I'm 5ft 6 and 138lbs (pear shaped as well) and I look nowhere near as good as that in a bikini! Need to pull my *kitten* into exercise gear I think.

Basically, this. I get the comments about 'not needing to lose weight' (thanks, but I'm doing this for myself as I intensely dislike my body) and if anyone knew I was on a site like this, proverbial would hit the fan. Not because I'm unhealthy; but because even when I was 2 stone overweight I was still 'fine' and didn't…

Quite honestly I think if you lost 32lbs you'd look emaciated, it wouldn't be good. I'd say you're probably around 175 because of your height, and at most you should shoot to lose the 12lbs you originally state.

Same (apart from the carrots!) - growing up I was a chocolate fiend and I'm still a massive dessert fan but over the last few years I've gone to fruit for sweetness and now even two chunks of a chocolate bar is too sickly and makes me feel ill. I used to eat 8 in one go!

In a different vein, try making more of your food yourself. Experiment with tastes and colours and textures and see what you can make. Food always looks and tastes better if you've enjoyed making it!

But eventually (much to my dismay, I'd just turned 12 when Jamie Oliver struck and as a result he is not my favourite person in the world!) they got over it and ate what they were given. Too many kids are fussy nowadays; my 7 year old cousin refuses to eat 'proper' food and only eats turkey ham, Tesco value sausage rolls…

Bread, and chocolate. When I turned 18 I started going off chocolate but I've gone from being 15 and able to eat two Mars Bars in one go to the only chocolate I eat being in cookies as a treat. My bf can shovel it down in an instant but it's just so sweet and sickly!

Personally I like cooking a chicken breast or some kind of meat product and then having it with loads and loads of veggies - celery, pepper, carrot, sweetcorn, brocolli! More veggies than meat :) For lunch I'll grab a cheese and onion roll and have that with some fruit. I love scrambled egg whites but feel like I'm such a…

It's something I'm considering but don't really know how to start!

I gain rapidly on anything over 1200 so this is perfect for me! Trying to have a weekly net of 7000 so some days under 1000, some days a little over - and it seems to be working great for me :)
