I went on vacation in February and gained 9 pounds in 6 days. However, only 5 days after my return home it was gone. Don't worry about it. The point of vacation is to step out of your current world for a time.

Me too!

Good for you! I'm just focusing on the time and not the speed so I'm not nearly as fast as you! But, on Friday I completed the week five 20 minute jog and I'm thrilled with how well the program works. I always look forward to my next run day to see how well I'll do. You'll do great!

I was totally amazed that I was able to compete week 5 with out too much difficulty. The program really works! You'll do great, Reckabek!

Last two days with walking...really good point! Lol! Perhaps I'll take the rest time.

I just did it on Friday! I was a lifelong non runner 5 weeks ago. I love this program!

Ditto all of it. * Couch to 5K. I just ran 20 minutes straight on Friday and I was a non-runner 5 weeks ago. * Good running shoes. * A sports bra or two. I wear a bra and a tank top with a built in so I get double support. Enjoy!

First of all make sure you have decent shoes! I stand for my job all day in a pharmacy. I do have one of those great mats though. I guess with most physical changes the body adjusts. When I transitioned from a desk job to a standing job, my feet were killing me after an hour and a half. But, within a few weeks, standing…

Jillian Michaels actually has a set of DVDs with the word "Beginner" right in the title. They are Jillian Michaels for Beginners-Frontside and Jillian Michaels for Beginners-Backside. I started with these in November and really loved them. :)

I've actually been playing with the thought that a varying amount of calories over several days that averaged the same amount may keep the metabolism from adjusting and slowing down. For example, say a baseline daily calorie amount of 1500 was established. Over a six day period, one might eat randomly (not in this order)…

I'm shocked at how well this program works. I was a true non-runner just over a month ago. But today, I did week 5 day 2. I ran two 8 minute segments twice! The 20 minute run on Friday may just be do-able! LOVE C25K!!!

Get rid of the old sizes. In fact, go buy one pair of jeans/pants in a size smaller than you are now. You will see them in your closet and it will encourage you in your committment to this journey. :)

Hilarious!

I hope it's incorrect because according to your numbers you lost 3 lbs of muscle since the beginning of Jillian's program.

I'm all for the surgery buy DO YOUR HOMEWORK ON SURGEONS!!!! Can't say that enough times. Learned that lesson the hard way. Sigh.....

Nuts are a great idea. They pack in a lot of good calories in a small quantity. A 1/4 cup is over 300 calories. I really try to get all my calories in each day regardless of hunger. A lifetime of dieting and periods of fasting have shown me how frustrating it can be when you're metabolism just shuts down. You definitely…

Is 5 miles the norm for you both? If not, you can expect some discomfort afterwards involving muscles, bones or tendons because they're just not used to it.

Christian, single, mom in the race! Feel free to add me. :)

My only pregnancies were at 30 and 32. Both kids and I are completely normal and healthy. :)

Good question! It can vary based on your height and your weight range. I'm 5'5" and 166 lbs. I know that from 195 down to 135 a size for me is roughly 15 lbs. Now, go back five years ago I was over 250. Then, a size was 25 lbs for me. My friend who is 5'9" says that 18 lbs is a size for her. She's currently 190. Hope that…

Glad I don't have a weight watchers scale! I would hate that! I have a Health O Meter. Very consistent and I've had it for years.

Wonderful! My local bookstore will have the book later this week. I'm meeting with a trainer for the first time this morning. I'm currently 168 but can't wait to see the difference that lifting brings! Great job!

Great job! I finished week 2 today. :) Looking forward to being a real runner!

Just finished week 2. Start week 3 on Monday. I actually feel it getting easier as the week progresses. I wouldn't have expected that in only three days per week. Feel free to add me. :)

I did and sometimes still do. Binge eating is about emotions. Somewhere through the years we learned to run/hide from emotions by eating instead. It's the same pattern for any other addiction...alcohol, drugs, etc. Take some time and examine your emotions. Learn to actually feel them instead of run from them. Accept the…

You look WONDERFUL! Great job!
