First time lifting for over two weeks! Business trip then I came home and was super duper sick. I kept it light, and stayed home and lifted in my garage gym! @caramelgyrlk At the moment I don’t use knee wraps. You really don’t need anything at all until you get to about 80% of your max. The reason being, you’ll recruit more accessory muscles without, so why not. Since you are just building technique right now, I’d avoid any for as long as possible. I would recommend Shiek wrist…

I’m out of town most of this week, so Monday I did the Monday and Tuesday programs. Death by deadlift volume, then 3rep max lo bar back squat. Got a nice little PR of 3reps at 60 kg. Followed by 3 sets of 8 reps. at 90 lbs bench. Super tired and super happy and super hungry all day Tuesday.

I wish I had $5 for every runner that told me they can't deadlift because (1) they will bulk up too much and (2) they have a bad back or something. Last night Coach programmed: Bench press work up to 5rep max, then dropsets of 10 reps x 3 sets NARROW GRIP I got 85lb 5 rep max. My buddy Andrea got to 100lb for 5! The student surpasses the master. lol She was dead for the dropset though. ha ha! Honestly what is Coach's deal with dropsets!?!?!?!

I didn't get any hamstring or glute development until I added Romanian Deadlifts (RDLs), sometimes called straight legged deadlifts. And I did them incorrectly for a long time. Last night Coach programmed: Deadlifts work up to 5rep max, then dropsets of 10 reps x 3 sets Front squats work up to 3rep max Needless to say I slept like a log after a giant meal. Dropsets are the devil.

Went to a deadlift meet last Saturday. My goal was to lift 122.5 kgs, and I did it! Super happy. Even better, about 6 different guys, coaches or powerlifters, stopped me to congratulate me! It was awesome. Of course I went shopping afterwards, there were lots of vendors there. lol Here is me complete with "deadlift face".…

Last night was deadlift night, my fav. I finally got the okay to get back to deadlifting last week (after injuring my shoulder while being stupid doing snatches).
