  • Just got mine tonight. Feel free to add me KemekoP :-)
  • Lots of things actually, but my biggest weaknesses are: 1) gummy bears 2) Japanese rice crackers 3) pistachios
  • I live in Manassas, but actually have a membership at XSport Fitnes in Fairfax, which I LOVE! I've been considering LA Fitness, since its so close to home. Have you signed up? Do you like it so far? Is it open?

  • Not in Springfield... sorry. But I divide my time between Fairfax and Manassas.

  • Thank you! I thought I was the only one with a violent repulsion for that nasty stuff! I love regular yogurt, but can't tolerate the greek stuff. I've pretty much tried all the brands I could find, hoping one was "decent". But ugh! Not possible. I've given up on it.
  • Now I am only speaking as someone who suffers from PCOS... but anytime I am on BC, it wreaks total havoc on me. I don't gain weight, but I have found that it is harder for me to lose. I'm also moodier :explode:   and tend to have more cravings. I'm not a fan of birth control... but you have to do what you have…
  • Hi. New member here from Manassas, and a newcomer to the area as well, as I recently relocated from Florida. I've been on a my weight loss journey for almost a year and a half now. I went from an all time high of 231 back in December of 2011 to my lowest weight in years this past December (155 lbs). Due to poor eating…
  • Manassas, VA here... and recently moved up from Florida. Would love to meet people in the area who are also pursuing healthy lifestyles / exercise / nutrition. Add me!
  • You look amazing! Glad you'll be posting on MFP! You are a real inspiration to us!
  • I agree... walking around looking like an oompa loompa, even with a kicking body, is NOT sexy!
  • Amy, you look absolutely amazing! You are a inspiration! Thank you for your post!
  • Great work so far! It's likely just water weight. The first few weeks for me were like that.. Just keep doing what you are doing right now. The weight will definitely come off.
  • I've actually been pretty good this week. 1. Did not log down. -- Nothing. Knowing I have my trainer checking up on me keeps me honest. 2. Ate mindlessly without really measuring it. -- Egg substitute. I kinda eyeballed the 1/2 cup measurement. 3. Ate in secret without anyone knowing. -- Nothing. But oh how I've been…
  • Welcome to MFP. This website has been an amazing help to me. I still have a long way to go, but the encouragement from my pals here keep me going. Would love to add you as a friend. We seem to have the same amount of weight to lose. Sending you a request!
  • I agree.. I don't change my workouts or the intensity during my TOM. I've found that any exercise during this time period increases my level of energy and lessens cramps/discomfort/bloating.
  • I agree with the recommendations for Oxyelite Pro. I've been on the pills for a little over two weeks and my weight loss has accelerated. The pills don't keep me up at night, no heart palpitations, or dry mouth like other diet pills. I didn't even think they were doing anything until I started seeing the results. One…
  • I second this.... it helps you stay on track and sane. I couldn't do this day after day if I felt deprived.
  • It all depends where you are going. Until I reach my goal weight (and even after), I am making sure I don't go over on calories/fat/sodium. In order to stay on track, when I do eat out, I eat at chain restaurants that post their nutritional information. I try to chose the healthiest meals (in advance) that would go well…

  • I don't see anything wrong in having one every day, so long as it falls within your calorie goals. I don't really care for the taste of protein supplements, but I have a 1/2 bar every day before weight training (3x a week). For me, Pure Protein's chocolate peanut butter is so far the best tasting out of those with 20g + of…
  • Fellow cyster here... and like most of you, I've suffered with the mood swings, excess weight, chin hair, etc. What I haven't seen anyone else post, and which truly frustrates me is that I also have (what I consider to be) the worst PCOS side effect: androgenic alopecia. That's right ladies... I've lost most of my hair. So…
  • I do the same with omelettes or scrambles. Less calories, less fat/cholesterol... just as filling (not as tasty though). I love yolk!
  • Depends on the break-up/situation... but I've always loved this one: Ideal - Get Gone The song starts out really romantic and soulful... and the lyrics just crack me up! [Intro Spoken] Hey come in here woman sit down Come here cuz we gotta talk I don't care oh you just tense baby It gon' be all over tonight And I don't…
  • Blue or gorgonzola cheese... anything with visible mold. Ewww! Stuff tastes like dirt to me!
  • Led Zeppelin Boston Megadeth Alice in Chains Nine Inch Nails If I could somehow sneak a 6th.... CCR!
  • Boo... I don't see my results
