Exactly! I feel the same way.

I have to get myself re-motivated as well. Seems I go for a few weeks doing great and if ONE little thing gets in my way and I miss a day of working out, it turns into three or more days (at the present). You aren't the only one who backtracks. Hang in there!

I burned 500 cals the other day just by walking and running .. only ran 1/2 mile, walked the rest in 40 minutes. 700 is possible.

If I had a treadmill I totally would. It's not the best time of year to be running outside in these parts (Eastern Canada) .. cold and snow and ice. I live right down the street from a 1/4 mile track though and I will be planning on the C25K in the Spring. Good luck!!

Haha!! I went dancing Saturday night and I'm STILL sore. Honest to goodness, I am quickly realizing I am not 25 years old anymore!!

Nova Scotia :) Welcome to MFP!!

listening to it now. I really like it! Thanks for sharing :)

I love reading positive posts as soon as I log into the forums. What an uplifting story.

Check the battery in your scale. This Summer mine was weak and showed me losing more than I actually did. What a kick in the pants when I put a new batter in it.

Restaurants are a HUGE challenge for me. Everything sounds good EXCEPT for the soups and salads. I'm glad I don't go out to eat often (maybe once every 3 months or so .. at best). In the back of my mind I know what the better choices are and go with them but my taste buds beg me to get the delicious high calorie foods and…

Try drinking more water to fill you up. Cut way back on soft drinks and sugars. Maybe popping a mint into your mouth or a different hard candy? Packing healthy snacks like carrot sticks, almonds, an apple .. etc to get you through the urge to stop @ a fast food restaurant. Wake up 20 minutes earlier in the mornings to get…

Amazing! Congratulations and work those jeans girl .. you deserve it :flowerforyou:

Great information. I have an arthritic ankle from a break in 1995. Some days it hurts, most days it doesn't. I've been working through it but take it easy on the flare up days. Losing weight definitely helps.

Super .. thanks! I'll wait until January. I love a good deal :)

The Flintstones Yabba Dabba Doo!!

I would be disappointed too. I mean the kids birthday isn't until the 31st!! I can understand wanting to separate the birthday from the Holidays but that's just way early. I hope there's a way you can still pull off your party as well.

Wow .. kids can be mean .. even though it didn't bother you (which is wonderful) .. makes you wonder how many other ppl they yell nasty things to. Good for you!

Congrats and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! :flowerforyou:

That's a great way to compare. My daughter is 4 1/2 and I haven't weighed her lately but that sounds about right. I cannot imagine lugging her around ALL.THE.TIME! Good job on the loss

I don't have 2 voices in my head ... the other voice I'm hearing is from the gingerbread house that's been sitting on my kitchen table since Monday ... which as of today is missing EIGHT jelly beans. It's not an easy battle to lose weight at all. I am constantly having to evaluate my food choices and second guessing meals.…

It's insane the amount of sodium in foods. It's a preservative so they throw it in there to keep things "fresh" I guess.
-
I only wear it for workouts and not day to day activities. Anything I burn over and above my workout calories is a bonus :)
-
Sometimes bananas will give me heartburn/indigestion. I don't eat them often because I don't like inflicting discomfort on myself.
-
That's wonderful and congratulations

Kudos to you for doing it and you are doing great so stick with it. I am way to shy to step out of my comfort zone and join a class so I admire you for getting out there.

I do that exact same thing. Sometimes I feel slightly neurotic @ the grocery store and it takes me forever to do my shopping because I'm constantly reading labels. Hubby just shakes his head and my daughter gets bored and cranky during the whole process. Foods that I used to love no longer make it to the cart. I think…

I stopped logging in the Spring and only got back to logging a week or more ago. I didn't have much success but NOT logging. Keeping track hold me more accountable and honest with my food.

I can relate. There are a lot of doctors out there who are overworked (huge patient load). Myself, my husband and my daughter have all been on the waiting list for a family doctor for over a year. Frustrating!

I drink mine black. I log it as "black coffee" and IMO it isn't horrible for a person, in moderation .. as long as it isn't FULL of cream and sugar.

You got some great advice. I'm in Canada. I can't get to see any doctor without a referral from my family doctor first. You should start with your family doc as well though just for the physical and blood work. Good luck!
