Yeah .. the calorie burn isn't an issue. I workout in the morning and burn anywhere from 500-700 calories. I just wanted something different to keep me busy in the afternoons when I get bored. Boredom for me = grazing.

Congrats!! I'm sure that's a fantastic feeling. Well deserved .. enjoy!

The first few weeks is a learning experience. At least it was for me. Learning about portions, calories (among other things) and how to fit the foods into meals to add up to the amount I needed for that day. Don't let it discourage you. Once you learn more about the calories in/calories out system it gets a lot easier.…

The first step in the process is admitting it (which you just did). If your excessive drinking embarrasses you then it's time to make an effort to limit or eliminate it. My husbands mother is the same way. She drinks beer like water. Sitting down on a weekend and drinking more than 24 most times then moans because she…

Mine is public. At least I think I set it back. It used to be private, but I have nothing to hide, lol

I agree with it. I don't like the word "diet" because the one thing you think of when you hear it is "restriction" Whereas a lifestyle change is just that. You can eat what you want, just follow portion control and track the calories and other components then work to burn some of them off with a more active "lifestyle".

You look GREAT!!

I was shocked about this news last night. He was a great actor. I loved when he used to make appearances on Due South. Always playing a quirky role, you could always count on him for a good laugh.

You are going to be one beautiful bride. The dress is gorgeous. Great job on the loss :)

Thank you all. I know it's only one night. I'm just obsessive with it. Not good! I plan a good 60 minute morning workout (I do every morning) so I will have that buffer so I should just relax. I don't know how you Americans do it having Thanksgiving and Christmas back to back, lol

You go girl! Rock those skinny jeans and ENJOY

Welcome to MFP. Try not to think of it as a Diet ( in my opinion .. diets never work because they are too restrictive) .. this is a lifestyle change. Eat what you like within recommended portions and limits and burn calories and most importantly .. have fun :)

Welcome to MFP.

Welcome :flowerforyou: Weight loss is a long road but the destination is paradise.

I use portion control. Eating healthier foods, no sweets, no soft drinks (only water and maybe a black coffee in the morning) and no stress and/or boredom snacking. I work out 7 days a week for no less than 60 minutes.

Welcome and good luck! You've come to the right place for motivation and support :flowerforyou:

You look wonderful .. congratulations :flowerforyou:

Wow .. now I have to try this! I'm at a loss when it comes to potatoes as well. This might spice things up a bit in the kitchen :) Thanks!

Exercise help me .. #1 it helps me de-stress and #2 cuts down the urge to therefore stress eat. The bonus = you BURN calories instead of consuming them. win win situation :)

I've wanted a Tiffany & Co signature bracelet for the last 5 years or more ... Still waiting for it to happen and I know it won't this year either .. but a girl can dream, lol

What an awesome milestone. Congratulations!

I usually have weight watchers brownies on hand for a chocolate fix. I wasn't able to find them this week when I did groceries unfortunately. Great things to have on hand and not that sinful.

I'm voting for chiropractor as well. In 2004 I twisted my back wrong and 2 vertebrae in my lower back misaligned. I sought out a chiro over a medical doctor. Best decision ever! The chiro was amazing and explained alignment, muscles, nerve endings .. Great experience .. but you have to shop around to find one that suits…

munching on 1/2 a mini bag of popcorn right now. 50 calories .. split it with my daughter.

I sent a request. I have pcos. Dx'd officially in 2003 even though I went to a doctor in 1999 with my concerns. I went through numerous tests, ultrasounds, sonohysteogram, blood tests, glucose testing, meds like provera, metformin and clomid (high doses of the last two). Got pregnant and miscarried in 2004, took a year and…

Congrats on making the decision to get motivated. I can somewhat relate, it is difficult. 9 lbs is fabulous .. keep it up!

No weight required thankfully. Just height, hair color and eye color I believe. Listing a weight would have mortified me. I've been lying about it since I was a teen and we had to tell our weight to get our skates sharpened in order to get a proper edge. Let's just say ... mine NEVER had a good edge, LOL
