  • DONE will be back on a regular basis ....thanks
  • Great job everyone! First weigh in...Im down 1.5 lbs.
  • Count me in! I just started back on MFP again today after taking a little break, so this will be a perfect startup!
  • quote `In a 20x20 area you have about 13 sq ft/ bird. Is this outside or all under roof? You should be able to spread down wood chips 2-3 inches thick. Add more if you have to. Spread around scratch grains daily and the birds will turn the bedding. Every six months or so you should be able to pull out almost pure compost.…
  • I put the water container IN the hen house where the heat from the lamp will help to keep it from freezing(Canadian winters! BRrrrr) ...but I admit I do not keep AS MUCH water in the container as I do during the warmer parts of the year - just in case it does freeze. The straw in there as well as the heat from the chickens…
  • I have a mix of most of these ones too! I think the white ones and the tan ones are the best 1) for personality and leadership, 2) for their eggs. I didn't raise them from chicks - we got them `ready to lay`... but they love me anyway. Make sure to spend time with them, talk to them and let them out of the pen once in…
  • If you keep the pen cleaned regularly and they have plenty of roaming area outside of the hen house, it will not be smelly. As for the noise - I don't find it bad at all. They squawk here and there, but its not a constant thing...granted they do wake early in the morning - usually with the sun. Just don't buy a rooster!!!!…
  • Hi. We have had ours for about 2yrs now and I have to say I LOVE IT! I love the fresh eggs, and we get the Omega pellets for them so the eggs are much healthier. As far as the pen goes you need a roost for them to sit, lots of fresh air, as well as a light for at night during the colder months of the year (depending where…
  • Hi I do the same. I am constantly on MFP..I think it is addicting! LOL And yes my husband hates it! He is a skinny minny with a metabolism that does not stop. He has no ideal how hard it is to have to loose even a lb never mind watch what you are eating, exercise and see the scale stay the same or even go up a bit. I try…
  • ...blast your speakers with WHATEVER kind of music that gets you feeling happy and wanting to dance! Pop a exercise video in, or go for a walk with the headphones! Either way you will feel great for doing it and happy cause `You love that song!!`
  • I add it to my daily totals. As long as you are not going over your limit, and you are still eating healthy I don't see any problems with it. We do so much to watch what we are doing with our eating habits, and exercise etc. - we have to make sure we take time out to enjoy our lives/friends as well, or what is the point!
  • I usually plan my day when I first get up. I log in my meals and expected exercises as well...I find that I am more likely to stick to the plan since I already have it out there for people to see. If I need to change something though, I make sure I do; so the calories are correct for the day. And yes, log in all items that…
  • A multi-vitamin would be good as an over all wellness. Vitamin B complex and Zinc are good for strength and regrowth of your hair. Just make sure that what you ARE taking is not being doubled up from another vitamin...too much of certain things can cause problems! That is why a multi-vitamin is a good choice...gives you a…
  • I like the shorts on you, and I like the colour too!
  • That is great! WTG!...hope you have lots of fun, you earned it.
  • I have a hard time understanding this as well. I personally think that if you have calories left over for the day and you have at least eaten your ORIGINAL amount of calories for the day (before exercising) then how is it that you are doing bad for your body?? I have read lots of posts on this, some say they eat them all,…
  • Great thread! Thanks for all the info on this. I have often wondered about this myself!
  • WTG! You look Fantabulous! I am starting it in a few days (Aug 1st) I can only hope to have results like that! Great Job, you should be very proud of yourself.
  • Mmmmm. I love the yolks runny! I have chickens in the back yard so I get fresh eggs every day. I used to have a fried egg (using olive oil) with toast for breakfast each day (pretty much), but I cut it back because of the cholesterol. Now just a couple times a week. Poached and hard boiled are probably the best for…
  • Coffee, coffee and yes coffee. (Of course sugar and creamer too!) This is the one thing I have every day - all day if I can !!! :drinker:
  • Wow! Ok, I am here with you.
  • I too, was skinny as a kid and even in my 20`s. UNTIL I had kids!!!! I had my first at 30yrs, so I was already fighting the age/metabolism thing, then my second child a year and half later...this time I kept some of the baby fat (not all, but there was a difference for sure). All during this time, I was working full time…
  • Day 11 Lev 2 today. Much Harder! I was getting really board with level 1...last night, level 2 had my face RED in exhaustion! I like it...:noway: (Kinda..? ) LOL
  • That`s great! Sounds good.
  • I too, have not been loosing this past week. I have not measured yet, I am waiting for day 10; although I do feel a little slimmer, that may just be wishful thinking on my part!
  • Ok, I'm in...will have to check out the butterfly crunch link though - not sure of that one! LOL RE: Last week...didn't do so good - hoping that I will stick to this one!
  • Thanks for all the info! Im going to print it out and post it on the fridge as well...great idea.
  • Day4 completed! I am feeling better each time - jump rope still hurts the calves a little but getting better. Not loosing my breathe as easily anymore either! That`s a plus in itself. On the side, I do exercise from a variety of PS3 / DVDs I have, also some classes that I have found posted on the internet. I also do belly…
  • Day 3 Level 1...my calves were killing me during the jump rope! Felt good in the end, but really surprised me cause my calves have always been pretty muscular.
  • The backs of my arms (triceps) are what are hurting me the most. - Pushups! And I even did the Girrly ones. LOL Keep at it, this will eventually be a thing of the past!
