  • Just turned 45 and I have to say - hormones are changing the rules on me for weight maintenance - gained 15 over the past year or so without really realizing or paying attention. Setting my goal this year to be back where I was and get out of the overweight BMI category. But I can't go as "hard" as I used to with exercise,…
  • Adjusting my goal weight to something I can realistically hit. I am okay with that, I would rather be halfway to goal than not at all!

  • Holy crow Woman! This isn't just a story of you conquering weight, this is about so much more. I am so sorry so many docs let you down - unfortunately some are not equipped to help with nutrition and just medicate. I hope when you read this back you see that there were so many underlying emotional issues and the fat was…
  • Sorry about your Mother. My Mom passed away 4 months ago and knocked me right off the fitness wagon...I think it's great you are supporting your own health through a sad time.
  • Just starting - not doing the full program this time, just twice a week alternating with Cize
  • Wow! That takes so much strength and commitment, you are awesome!

  • You look fantastic! WTG on consistency!!!!
  • Hi, My understanding is that the formulas they use for calorie levels in the p90x nutrition plan are for weight maintenance, so you would need to subtract 500-1000 for a calorie deficit. If you want to maintain your scale weight, but trade fat for muscle, then eat what they recommend.
  • Woo Hoo! Nice job finishing the program. I can see such a difference, you are much leaner more toned, your waist/abs I would kill for :-) enjoy CLX!
  • Oooh that bread looks good! I won't make it because I know I couldn't control myself around it lol. But it's a good option if you have a wicked craving! Back on day 3 of attack - feeling fantastic, down 2 lbs already.
  • My post cycle wrap up: I don't see this cycle as a failure, oh no not at all, because what it did was get me mentally back into a place where I am willing to work hard and sacrifice again. After months of zero motivation, I feel like I am back in the game. See you in the funny papers! 3/02- 156.6 - I must point out I am…
  • Oh great luck to you on p90x! I have a tried a few of the workouts and it is no joke!! No way you can do that on 17dd, you should follow their guidelines on nutrition. There is a good accountability group on here. I have also enjoyed the one on one, I think we have helped kickstart eachother a bit, so thank you! Dukan diet…
  • Guess what I am drinking right now?
  • Well, it's a fact, I can't lose weight while eating whole grains and beans. I feel great, my skin glows, digestion is good, but weight loss? Nope! Yesterday I ate a quinoa corn muffin and some chickpea tabbouleh salad. Boom gained 1.5 lbs. I was counting calories too, i didnt go over 1800 gross, netted 1300 with all the…
  • I am glad you are still around, don't give up!!! Are you stuck because of eating, or is the scale just being a $&@$?

  • Happy Birthday!!!!:flowerforyou:
  • I love your honesty :-) And totally understand. After years of doing great with healthy eating and exercise I recently experienced my own inner rebellion, I just couldn't find motivation to continue and quickly gained weight back. I ate chocolate, drank tons of wine, and actually enjoyed it! but now i am unhappy with my…
  • You look fantastic!!! I love your comment about how much harder it is after having a family. You inspired me this morning, thank you!
  • I feel like I finally have my head wrapped around moderation, for today anyway. Yesterday was a good eating day. The scale did not reward me but that's okay TOM is coming any day. I am counting calories as well. Hope you are doing good? 3/02- 156.6 - I must point out I am super poofy from pizza last night! 3/03- 153.4…

  • You look fantastic! Thanks for helping me believe!!!!
  • Yah it's really easy to undereat if you are not careful, or just feel foggy from low carbs. Giving myself some tough love. I clearly have a choice- I need to get a little uncomfortable if I am going to make a change. It would be so easy if I could just say I was happy at this weight, but I am not. So I need to fight a…
