  • Apparently it takes the body about 3 days before it reacts and goes into starvation mode. Once there, your metabolism is shot and returning to regular eating will ultimately make you gain before it levels out. What's wrong with MFP's goals to help you lose 2lbs a week? 2lbs a week is a lot! xx
  • WOW skinny minnie! I would be super happy with my figure if I had one like yours! xx
  • I'm a member of LA Fitness and I pay £38 a month with a student discount and my friend pays £47 a month - although she got £10 off one month for referring me to the gym. I spoke to someone in the steam room the other day who said "everyone in here is paying a different price!" So I tried to cancel my membership and they…
  • I know exactly what you mean! I even took it to the extreme at one point and wouldnt eat fruit because its high in sugar and I would boil my chicken breasts to get any extra fat out. But I found that swapping works for me. White potatoes might be bad - whereas sweet potatoes arent, and they taste nice without added butter…
  • You look awesome! Congrats! Cute swimsuit ... oh and that ham looks good too *drools*
  • Next are the same as New Look, I shop in both all the time but NEVER go in Topshop anymore because they come up small - thats if I can even find anything bigger than a size 4 in there anyway! (FYI, gap, M&S and ASDA all come up big so I'm a flattering size down in those stores  ) ... and yeah strange about H&M! I'm…
  • I WANT THE BRASSSS!! :-) please! x
  • Hope this works, I never eat back my exercise calories, and now I understand how extreme that is :noway: Also I can remember that giant intake day - my anniversary and DAMN those jack daniels ribs were soooo worth it!! Some of the ones that go under 500 are pretty scary!
  • Nice pins
  • Stuffed peppers - I fill them with spicy vegetable quinoa & roast mushrooms, shallots and baby tomatoes on the side and for the last bit of baking I melt a slice of mozzarella on top - so nice! Also you can add toasted pine nuts or feta and skip the mozarella :-) ... owh dear! I want all of that now!! x One other yummy way…
  • I kinda agree with this, but I lunch like a king lol ... I actually just have my dinner earlier because I get mega hungry midday and then when its time for dinner I'm more peckish than hungry and I dont like to eat too much too late (I work late and sometimes eating right b4 bed is unavoidable)
  • I used to eat whole rolled oats with water every morning. I went to see a nutritionist who said 'This is good, but do you really like it" if I dont like it, I'm not likely to stick at it. She suggested 100ml of skimmed milk which really doesnt have a lot of kcals and adding fruit and nuts (but only 3-4) So now I get up and…
  • Every party needs a pooper
  • I log it as low impact aerobics :-)
  • I'm doing it and find it great fun :-)
  • HAHAHA! you SO did not fail! When I go over my kcals its by like 800 with a rack of ribs or something
  • I got a pyramid of these for my birthday last year http://www.gourmetchocolatepizza.co.uk/ ..... the coffee ones are to die for! x
  • Chocolate! Without a doubt! If chocolate was calorie free I wouldnt be in this mess >:(
  • OMG!!! HEALTHY AND FLAVOURFUL MASHES ARE MY FAVE! Sweet potato mash is always amazing and never needs butter or milk because its so runny and sweet in the first place! Carrot and swede mash is A-MAZING! always having that one! Butternut squash mash is awesome if you boil in shallow water with garlic and fennel. Adding…
  • I make my own soups with my own stock and theyre delish, you should try it because the sodium in the canned variety are like quadrouple  and theres no reason why you should think you cant eat soup :indifferent: Cant you get away with only doing days 5,6,7 they sound awesome to me :-D Or have you thought about just…

  • I thought I was 5'6 and had 5lbs to loose until I wasnt in the obese catergory anymore, but it turns out im 5'5 and I have 8lbs to loose til im no longer obese  In 2007 I was 147 and was super comfortable in my skin and I was well within the healthy catergory. I set my MFP goals to reach that but if I could get to 140…
  • I've come to terms with the fact that I will probably need to count my calories for the rest of my life. I just cant eat without the product knowledge. If I stopped weighing all my food, i would eat more and go over my cals and also I would forget the tricks and snack without realising. I also get comfort in having my…
  • I read that carbonated water makes your body flush out calcium and leads to osteoporosis.
  • I struggle to drink 2 litres/70 ounces of water (apart from 2litres of pepsi before my diet!) and the only way that works for me is to carry a litre sized bottle with me everywhere I go with no added sugar squash in it. When I drink out of this I tend to drink more than I normally would if I was to make it up per glass ...…
  • I'm from Kent, living in Surrey atm - any locals feel free to add me :-)
  • Awesome! I've got three tubs of yoghurt nearly out of date! Freezing them into yummy smoothie pops is something I didnt think of!! Thanks
  • My fella is a head chef and I would say he was very active. He works 9 hours in all that heat, running around grabbing things out of fridges, stocking back up and trying to wash up and cook at the same time lol. I put a pedometer on him once and it reached over 3000 steps in 3 hours before he accidently nudged the reset…
  • Weirdest thing - I just sat up in the chair (i was slouching before) and its gone down to 55 .... lol so weird :noway:
  • I'm desperately broke and had to cancel my gym membership. I downloaded the 30 day shred. Started the Couch to 5k running plan and I bought a little workout pack off ebay for £5, it included resistance bands, a workout mat, skipping rope and those hand clencher thingys :-)
