  • I have been on and off keto for about a year and 1/2 now. Lost some weight, gained some back. Now I need to get back on track. I will go find those meal plans cause they might just be the thing I need to help me!
  • Lost another 5 lbs on FMD this month. I have also increased my loss on my off week by starting to calorie cycle. Now that I am over 20lbs down I am going to start adding toning exercises to my routine too.
  • Totally in for trying this.... Day/Weight/Comment 7/07 - 196 Been bouncing between 195 and 196 for a few days now. Just waiting for it to settle on 195 so I can announce my official 20 lbs lost since starting in February. 7/08 7/09 7/10 7/11 7/12 7/13 7/14 7/15 7/16
  • Getting ready for another week of FMD starting on Monday. Where is everyone and how are you doing?
  • My goal is to lose 5 lbs this month. Sunday 07/01 196 Sunday 07/08 Sunday 07/15 Sunday 07/22 Sunday 07/29
  • I am going to try some calorie cycling this week....4 days of 1200 which is 60% of my normal calorie intake....before I go camping this weekend. Not sure how I am going to keep track over the weekend actually. You know how camping makes you hungry to eat more. Anyone else ever do calorie cycling or reduced calorie days?
  • Definitely on board for trying this. My first monthly challenge in this group. :D My goal is to lose 5 lbs this month. Sunday 07/01 Sunday 07/08 Sunday 07/15 Sunday 07/22 Sunday 07/29
  • https://prolonfmd.com/fasting-mimicking-diet/
  • @kpk54 I see what you mean...just visited that site. The Fasting Mimicking Diet is a separate piece from the longevity diet. I just read another piece that said with FMD you just go back to healthy eating between FMD which they recommend 5 days on and 25 days off. I don't know anything about the Longevity Diet though.…
  • I wasn't using ProLon food actually, but I have an FMD group here on MFP and others say it is fine. My husband was so into fasting but I couldn't do it, so he found FMD for us to both try together. So I did the research, looked at his numbers, did the research on Ketosis, and basically follow the calorie restrictions of 6…
  • New to the group...not completely new to keto, but I am doing Fasting Mimicking Diet which puts me in Keto for 5 days out of the month. My nutritionist was very happy with this plan and I have lost over 15 lbs since February. Tomorrow is my last day of FMD for this month and that means a few of the most recent pounds may…
  • I love my morning yogurt with fruit, chia , and flax. Today I had arugala and brie for lunch. Fat bombs help me increase fat and this last batch I added chia for crunch and fiber. Dinner will be a green veggie, maybe asparagus, with parmesan cheese. Love changing up the veggie and thinking perhaps I need to use some of my…
  • I started round 5 today....doing it once every 4 weeks...but have thought about doing every other week.
  • SteamClutch - my husband was a faster, sometimes going up to 10 days. He really likes this and says he feels the same benefits except he is losing weight much more quickly and keeping it off. He has lost over 15 lbs now and we have been doing this for 3 months. We are in the FMD stage this week again for our 4th time. I…
  • How did it go???
  • I agree. My biggest mistake coming off my 5-days last weekend was the sugar. I added a little in because of meeting snacks and a goodbye dinner. Then it went downhill fast. I am gonna try to ditch ALL outside sugar this week and even Truvia, my sweetener of choice next to honey. Just makes me want the sweet. I expect I…
  • Cool! Let us know how it goes. I do my own version too and I love it.
  • This week I lost 4 lbs on FMD. It was a good week. Hope yours went well too!
  • Sounds great! I am now doing apple cider vinegar and a digestive enzyme before each meal. I hate doing multiple things without a longer trial over time for a single one, but so far I am down 9 lbs since February. Expecting another 5-7 this week being on FMD again. Thanks for the support and letting me support you too!
  • Kendra - There are so many different ways to lose weight and everyone has an opinion on it. I have worked in a health food store, a gym, home sales of nutrition shakes and workout programs, not to mention the countless nutritionists and personal trainers I have worked with from the time I was in my mid-twenties to now in…
  • So, I have ups and downs. But lately it has been ups. I had been having some digestion issues and the nutritionist recommended that I do 1 tsp of apple cider vinegar (with the mother in it) and a simple digestive enzyme blend. I have lost 2 pounds in 2 weeks doing that without even trying really. Then, add on the Fasting…
  • I did try to friend you, but it wouldn't give me the option. Weird. Anyways, I hear your pain. I have been on and off MFP for like 10 years now. LOL Just depends on my mood, but tracking takes time and my schedule usually gets in the way.
  • I agree with Mangos. Sounds like you just hit a plateau. Throw in some high carb days or low carb days randomly to try to keep your body off guard. Good luck!
  • Hemp seeds, cheese (some are higher proteins than others), jerky, wasabi peas, hard boiled eggs, good quality turkey lunch meat rolled around cream cheese or goat cheese and green onions, or bacon (we use turkey bacon) wrapped asparagus.
  • Anyone else experiencing weight loss outside of the 5 days? I think I am starting to see about a pound a week now. Plus people are commenting about my face looking different, like I am losing weight.
  • Are you eating enough calories? There is such a thing, especially with that high of a workout load. when I used to run 5 miles a day my nutritionist/personal trainer had me eating 1800 calories on those days and still lost 1-2 lbs per week.
  • Sparkle114....how did it go?
  • YES! Just ignore it telling you that you didn't eat enough though. LOL
  • Today was day 1 of our 2nd month in a row. We did 21 days instead of 25 because I didn't want to start mid-week with it. Unfortunately, I was super sick yesterday so haven't been able to start on solid food until just this afternoon. But I figure that didn't hurt me at all so will finish off strong with the rest of the…
  • Glad it is going well for you! Personally, any time I am doing calorie restriction I always cut back but not cut out exercise. So when I was a runner, I would do 5 miles on a regular basis, but cut that back to 2 miles or just do a long walk instead on my calorie restricted days.
