I get that. If I had the money I probably still would be doing Shakeology. But I can't afford it, nor can I afford the Prolon stuff. I think I do ok with my food and if it works, which it has, then go for it! I am not a big believer of change just for change sake. I like to see results.

I too did it by myself. 10% protein, 20% carb and 70% fat. I make my food logs open for friends to see. How was the Prolon food? Usually my first day is my worst. This month was my second time doing it, but the first was back in November. We plan to do it once a month as well. This month I had awesome results tho with a…

Always trying to get back on track. Turned 46 last week. Haven't tried to lose weight in almost 2 years, but I am back at it again.
-
Sorry....been swamped at work. Will post this weekend again.
-
No change this week. Blame it on being a woman. ;)

Oh yeah...know the feeling. When I eat stuff I shouldn't I get really ill. I have really learned to not even bother because it isn't worth it in so many different ways!!

@savysing Maybe 1200 isn't enough calories? Especially on the days you go to the gym. Have you tried eating more on those days? I have been at a plateau the last few weeks, bouncing between 188.2 and 186.8. This week I upped my calories to 1400 (they were 1300) and I took an extra day of really light exercise which for me…

16 mile bike ride today (my primary job is on break this week) and then rode another 3 going to and from my part-time evening job. Lots of stretching too, for recovery!

Still have 60 lbs or so to go! Always like having more support on my journey!

85 lbs here to lose....25 already done with 60 left to go. It has been a lifestyle change for me, but well worth it!

@btodd304 I eat 30% of my diet as carbs and 30% as protein. The other 40% is fats. Now, I rarely do bread or other starch type carbs like rice and potatoes, but instead focus my 30% on fruits and veggies. For my fats, I have olive oil, nuts, avocados, and coconut milk. I can't do 50gms of carbs on a regular basis,…

@KnitOrMiss Not only that, but I find I am more sensitive to them. My husband used 2-3 tbsp of honey when he made turkey taco meat last night. I noticed it immediately!
-
@LLNN122 The only bar I found that doesn't disrupt my system badly are the Think Thin bars.

I see monthly swings as well. I think it is a common thing. Weight loss is a slow game. You have to commit for the long haul!

I definitely do the high fat (good fats like avocados, olives, and nuts) and low grain carb (very little rice and no bread) diet and it has been really successful for losing weight in the past and currently. I also limit potatoes and don't eat corn either. I do a lot of turkey breast, lamb, and the occasion pork roast for…

Well, I know some people really don't like Shakeology, but I have had success with it clearing up my skin AND recently noticed that after 3 weeks of doing Shakeology I have had a decrease in the growth and thickness of my facial hair. Excited about the results. Not to mention it has helped me feel better with more…

Everything I have heard is to avoid them for PCOS. In fact, I was told to avoid ALL soy products.

@lisajahn3 - I just started today. Where are you at in the disks? Would love to support you and get the support back!

11 years of marriage and 10 years of not using birth control. I have swung from 155(pre-marriage weight) to 212+ lbs (just this past spring) on and off over the years. Never got pregnant though. We gave that up many years ago. I have lost 23 lbs since May and am still losing. My diary is open so feel free to check it out…

@Jfly0508 I found that eating higher amounts of good fats and lower carbs helps me with managing my weight. My diary is open so you can see it without friending me. Of course you can friend me too.

@SatiaRenee not here for sure. I was on a different plane of weightloss at that time and it didn't work. I can directly link 9 of my 23 lbs. of weightloss directly to Beach Body now. Those 9 lbs took 3 weeks...the rest of the 14 lbs took 2 months. @arleneowens4464 If you want to start in August, I will be accountable with…

@Kfieldseth - Thanks for the response. I am really a social workout person so haven't done anything from a disk in eons. I used to only do them when it was too cold or wet to go outside. I live in Colorado and we have pretty mild weather here year round, so staying in is a rarity for me. But I still have 60 lbs to lose…

I would say Body Beast too, from what I have read about it. I am just about to start Slim in 6, but it is more about toning, not defining.
-
I just got Slim in 6. How is it going for you?
-
Based on what Chalene said in that post and from my own previous experience, I would keep going. I know you said that you weren't losing weight, but are you losing inches in your waist, belly, and chest areas? Sometimes when you start a new exercise program you may not lose weight because of muscle gain. Also, you could be…

I agree that oats is a good way to add fiber and help you stay full. Also, use a protein source such as Whey or Egg Whites. You could also add flax seed or chia seed to your drink as well. Good Luck!!

The American Heart Society says no more than 6 tsp. or 25 gms of added sugar per day. They have an article about it here: http://www.heart.org/HEARTORG/GettingHealthy/NutritionCenter/HealthyEating/Sugar-101_UCM_306024_Article.jsp

I tried it and liked it ok. I actually figured out how to make it in the microwave to get the process to happen a little quicker, but I haven't quite perfected it yet. Warm avocado didn't bother me personally because I am used to adding it to warm meats when I make tacos and burritos.

I grill turkey breast at least twice a week to put in salads. I love the 'salads in a jar' idea because they are easy to take with you and you can leave them in the refrigerator for a few days. I usually put 3-6 ounces of meat in a jar, depending if I am adding blacks beans as another protein source. I also have an open…

If you read her initial post @TheOwlhouseDesigns , she was wanting support in her pursuit of clean eating as she realized she needed to change her diet.
