  • What kind of weight program are you doing?
  • Why would being a nanny (I'm assuming with active children) make you gain weight?
  • omg I'm so happy for you! Thank you for sharing. I hope it brings you to great places! Give it a fair chance, I hated it at first.
  • Agreed even body squats (not the same form as weighted squats) kicked my puny sedentary *kitten*. And really did so with essentially milk jug weights. If you're starting from nothing, something is better. That said, heavy lifting is leaps and bounds better imo.
  • Yes we beez makin' a state outta dis 'ere tread. 'by I don't tink deys mind. Why get yer ferks in a knot over dat? Sure dey don't know if wer comin' 'er goin' but while day be havin' der lassy toutons were bumpin' der treads. Ye fellas can figr' dat one out can't cha?!
  • That stuff is probably ignorance on a whole lot of sides. I meet a lot of people who either go into: a) concern for me mode....why...why are you doing that *ED undertones* b) concern for them mode.why...why must she get excited about this when it reminds me of things I think I should be doing c) jealous mode - 'cause they…
  • If you're not lifting barbells then I'm not sure of any heavy lifting program for you. But wanted to add I managed to get all my equipment for 0 dollars on kijiji. Worth keeping an eye out. Just wanted to point out that I hope the OP realizes that a lot of the heavy lifting advice isn't heavy lifting. Hope they can…
  • not nuff ta shake a stick at.
  • Ya don't say. Lard tunderin' dyin' no reason to be blearin' dat about me dear 'cause ders ardly any 'ere 'by, but Nuttin better. Wait a fair wind, and you'll get one. Hows she cuttin'? Here, da *kitten* is fallin' out a 'er!
  • ...What makes a fiber skinny? Do you need extra fiber? And why not just eat an adequate amount of fiber? The word skinny in front of it makes it sound expensive and gimmick-e. Just don't empty your wallet if you're getting it for the unfound magic.
  • hey by' wadayaat?
  • This is not a chipper
  • No trainer here either, just picked it up on my own. I find that a lot of the stronglifts or heavy lifting compound people have significant results when they stick to it. The kind of things you only see in magazines. Heck I'd put my *kitten* in a magazine and I'm doing things 'half assed' and have seen a big difference at…
  • wicked! And you're right, that is insane  gluck with it! I'd call it more endurance for sure, particularly when it's all put together. I bet you could run laps around your old self now.
  • I did HIIT. Specifically Spartacus. The popular one here is p90x. Spartacus was great fun, great endurance wise. I'd put it closer to the cardio side then strength training. It's great when your weights are progressing which they well at first, so you get that little boost of preserving lbm more then before (if you were…
  • Sorry I meant more what type of training: strength/speed/power: 1-5 reps Hypertrophy: 6-12 reps endurance: 13+ And I think it's awesome that you're incorporating bodyweight stuff. I'm hoping to do more of that myself. Also awesome that you have support from someone who will push you.
  • What's the inside taste like? Is there crunchy bits or truffly bits or something? I'm like...in love with the cookie crunch version.
  • So what you are saying is when you are hungry, you stop it by eating...Meh, seems legit.
  • This is the program I do. But any heavy lifting (85% your max which is about 5 reps) program well do. But I hated the frig out of it...until I gave it a chance. So whatever you do, give it a fair chance.
  • What kind of lifting are you doing? And the fluid (not lumpy fat lol) in your legs could just as likely been attributed by cardio. When I use to do only cardio I went through the same weird whats wrong with my legs phase, but I think I was pushing myself rather hard and not giving myself any chance to repair...I figured it…
  • holding your belly button in all day isn't going to make the fat disappear from your body......................................
  • lol if you're saying that your belly got bigger but cuts back in where your 'underwear line' is that's not your clothes that did that...that's the way bodys are shaped and meant to store fat.
  • Naw. This is what happened to my butt, nothing 'butt good': http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1058488-squats-weights-pain-in-bum-caused-this-pics?page=2#posts-16351518 Many lifters do no cardio, but it is great for your health. Some will do about 20 minutes of jogging after and some do light jogs on days off.…
  • ummm... did you see my pics? What do you think definition of muscle means? It's to get rid of fat. That's exactly what lifting does. Lifting doesn't bulk you unless you are on a calorie surplus...unless you think I'm bulky: This is what happened to my butt and gut at approximately the same weight from lifting: ->…
  • Just to clear up since you keep mentioning muscle gain... You are likely not going to get gains. While doing weight loss and lifting what you well get to do is retain the muscles you already have so the losses are more fat. Just because you get stronger doesn't mean you have more muscle. There's some great advice here…
  • Dieting while slim will not firm up your waist. I suggest stop dieting and do something that will firm your body.
  • I was... So I decided to put on weight and start lifting heavy weights. Problem be gone and now I'm 5'8 with a 25 inch waist. Also... Toning means so many things to people and a lot of them don't make sense at all (like toning muscles or making them long and lean doesnt make sense and isnt possible technically). I'd…
  • I wanted to tell you it was still worth it because I really enjoyed that rant :flowerforyou:
  • 1500+300 cals burnt off as in 1500-300=1200 cals? I'd eat a chocolate bar to! Looks delicious btw
  • http://chocolatechillimango.com/2012/12/16/cauliflower-protein-bread/#.UfxSbpLqkXw this is the best I could do.
