  • You can make the change. Posting here is a good first step. I find that after dinner when I'd usually be prowling the cupboard, coming here distracts me & everyone is talking about their success & their good choices. It's a good place to be. I read about everyone working out & doing all their exercise routines & my…

  • Okay. Mahi is my all time favorite! Here's a yummy variation: Grill or pan fry it with the spices, just like you did. Then serve it with some fresh fruit salsa from the produce section of the grocery store. yum! Also - mix a little of the spice mix with some low fat mayo. More or less, depending on how spicy you like it!…
  • I just got back - I burned 484 calories! It feels so good.
  • Good for you! Pretty soon they'll be asking what your secret is!
  • Your hotel probably has a fridge & microwave. Go online & check. That can make it much better. You could pick up a few things & keep them in your room. Take some almonds or other snacks that keep well.
  • Good for you! Take it as a compliment. I got that same comment from a coworker when I'd lost about 12 pounds. She rarely speaks to me, called me aside & asked the same thing. "What are you taking?" So annoying.
  • I just had some chicken. I have to be careful where it goes once inside my mouth - maybe things are looking up!
  • They have some cool veggie tortilla chips & root veggie chips. Lower in calories & carbs. They also have some cute little whole wheat mini-pita breads.

  • Thanks for the ideas. I never thought I'd crave a salad, but we're getting to that point! :indifferent:
  • What she said! But also, if you keep it accurate & look back at your reports it will help to see what actually happened...whether good or bad. I love to look at my exercise reports & compare my loss rate.
  • It takes a while to get to this point, but it works for me, too. I also make sure I have plenty of good food around so that when the offer arises, I'm too cheap to let my clean foods go to waste.
  • I usually eat lots of raw veggies, lean meat, eggs, cheese, some processed salad dressings, but not too much. I eat between 1200-1400 calories a day, try to stay under 100 carbs, eat some of my exercise calories. (an hour a day for 350-900 calories, depending) It's been fairly successful for me so far. 17 pounds…
  • You're all looking great & helping a good cause. Thank you. :flowerforyou: If you know someone who needs a wig or just a lift in spirits or some individual attention, the American Cancer Society has the Look Good Feel Better program. It's free. Beauticians are trained to help patients with hair, wig, makeup, turbans,…
  • We're all hoping & praying for a quick recovery for you. Take care.
  •  beautiful Saturday   laundry is finished   time to play in the sewing room   clean food fills the pantry & fridge so it's all going to be good choices!  family happy & healthy
  • That's great! It's good to try something new & find new enjoyment. :flowerforyou:
  • That's pretty close to what my pedometer tells me-I had to program in weight & stride. I walk 30-40 minutes as fast as I can - puffing & sweating & burn about half what you did. Good job!
  • We had a smoothie party for my son's friends when they were in high school. Several brought blenders & we had lots of fruits & yogurts to play with. It was really fun & they even cleaned up their mess...& I don't think anyone spiked their smoothie! what a success
  • Does your grocery store have a deli section? Many times they can give you the nutritional breakdowns for their salads. Maybe broccoli salad or coleslaw... otherwise, I'd take some cheeses & low fat crackers or a veggie tray.
  • You're doing so good Mya! Love the new do! Meisje- Just hang in there & enjoy. This celebration week with family & friends will never happen again. Osmium- good for you! :flowerforyou: I've decided to get over my "recuperation" & just bring it! This past week cost me a pound & a half, but I'm not going to change my…

  • No Curves for me today - just walking & bike riding. I'm going to get back to exercising more - after my surgery I just didn't feel good, but now it hurts whether or not I work out... so it's time to get serious again!
