I feel your pain. I had oral surgery last week & I'm so tired of yogurt, smoothies & cottage cheese, I could scream! I'm really missing salad.
-
I love 1 egg, scrambled with a slice of finely chopped up lean ham & 1/8 cup shredded cheese. yum

Keep us posted. It sounds fascinating! Good for you! :flowerforyou:

Okay. That makes sense. I wasn't sure I was understanding it just right. Yes. Obese. I'm hoping to drop the first 41 pounds this summer, then reevaluate the next goal. I've gone from absolutely sedentary last fall to exercising daily, so my body is going through some serious changes. I don't expect miracles at my age.
-
Do you have to run? Biking goes faster.
-
Goodness, no. It's a mini-goal. It's a hopeful goal. It's a once-I-get-here-I'll-re-evaluate-goal. :ohwell:

My BMR is only 1600 & have the slowest metabolism in the world. That's why I ask about 800-1200 calorie deficit.
-
I'm not speaking to my metabolism...

:grumble: Stage one: You are obese, or morbidly obese. Nutrition: No need to go crazy here, create a weekly nutrition plan, take into account exercise while making it up. get on a routine, don't just go willy nilly exercising. Routines make this easier. Start one, stick to it! 1) Balance is key. you should be able to keep…

Any chicken dish with veggies, as long as it isn't breaded & fried, is a good choice. I have a hard time staying out of the rice & chow mein!
-
It's so true! Who woulda thought?! I could only do 5 minutes on a recumbent bike when we first bought it. It was scary. :noway: Now there's no stopping me!
-
Alrighty! I'm back in my exercise routine.
-
I found a frozen product called yoplait triple berry smoothie at the store. It's yummy! Not too many calories or carbs. You could add stuff.
-
Geee - how many can I have for 1200 calories???? :embarassed: :embarassed: :embarassed: :embarassed: :embarassed: The only problem might be if you're skipping real food for the candy. Watch out! :noway: :noway: :noway:

Good for you! :flowerforyou: You're doing great! I'm still recovering from oral surgery - :frown: stinks. Anyway, after several days of moping around, minimal exercise, barrels of yogurt & pasta, I'm coming out of my funk. finally  Anyway, I worked out at the gym today, then did 30 minutes on the bike.…

The thing that's more disturbing/annoying/interesting is that there are several newbies posting daily - plus you know there are some who never post. But they never seem to post again. They just fizzle out. That seems to be a real serious problem. People make the initial step to join MFP, go so far as to introduce…

I see what you mean & I completely agree. When I've encouraged people to get back to their program, I simply meant to get back to work & don't let one day or weekend spoil all their progress. I never thought about it being misconstrued as free play in the fridge until tomorrow.

Tell her we're thinking of her & hoping all turns out well as quickly as possible

Thank you for showing us your beautiful family. :flowerforyou:
