Ground flax seed meal is the best!! They have a lot of soluble fiber that helps a lot...I drink 1 tbsp dissolved in a glass of water, first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach and It works....

Thanks everyone, I think I will get my thyroid antibodies tested and then i will go to the doctor. I don't have serious symptons, just high colesterol and It's extremely difficult for me to lose weigh, and I know I eat pretty well, I'm a nutritionist :ohwell: , weird I know....I'm not overweight but I have been gaining…

NO, It's the first time I do those test!, I decided to measure my thyroid hormones because my mother, my aunt, and my grandmother have hypothyroidism....I also have high colesterol levels, so I decided It's time for a test.....Sorry for my english, I'm from Venezuela (south america)

You can eat some apples with peanut butter, low fat yogurt, crackers, all the foods are packed with some protein. If you have kidney problems I wouldn't reccomend to stay away from the proteins because they're neccesary, just try to stay away from lots of animal protein and prefer: soy, dairy, nuts, beans and some eggs...

Eggwhites with veggies, no oil, no cheese...or a can of tuna with chopped tomatos, onions and lettuce, lemon juice and salt only....

Very good article!!! But I'm confused because many people have told me not to eat soy or soy products, because they suposse to not help with weight loss, but here you say you must increase their consumption!...confused:grumble:

I think the best way is to keep it within the ratios 40% protein 30% carbs 30% fat, is a moderate carb ratio, but a healthy one, and not a extreme one!!!...This is the one I keep not only for dieting but for life!!!
