  • I won't be waiting for him, but I'm actually struggling to be friendly with him like I used to be. (It's only been 1 week, I see him twice a week at a social dancing place we both go to). I'm finding that I'm so embarrassed I'm just avoiding him, although I did manage to make eye contact and smile last night - progress :)…
  • Bumping to see if anyone else has any thoughts...
  • I like that. I like it a lot. He's a nice guy, otherwise I wouldn't have asked him out. It's easy to fall into the trap of thinking all guys have double meanings behind what they say though.
  • Thanks for sharing that. It still sucks when you don't know for sure though, doesn't it?
  • It's a hard one but you are a lot better off than those working long hours at a desk! If you can't fit in any you can take comfort in that, even the strolling around is helpful. I would try to fit in 15 minutes of interval sprints (find a 100m straight line, run up, walk back, repeat for 15 minutes) in between getting back…
  • Use of paragraphs would greatly improve readability of this post. People don't like to wade through solid blocks of text.
  • I don't log the locuts (small yellow fruit) that I swipe off the tree that's on my bike route home. Whenever they're in season I grab two or three as I go past and eat them as I ride the last 200m or so home.
  • 6 inch chicken teriyaki with sweet onion sauce and no cheese for me! 341 calories. Although those calories are for Australian stores so yours may vary.
  • I had/have this problem, but I have it less now. I set myself a challenge to not eat after dinner for 30 days. I drew up a chart and put it on the fridge and gave myself a gold star each morning if I hadn't eaten the night before. I told myself if I missed one night, I would have to throw out all my stars and start at the…
  • Maybe you are confusing something else with being hungry. Are you actually thirsty, lonely or tired or stressed? It's a weird thing to suggest, but maybe try not eating for 24 hours, see what hungry really feels like. And recognise that it is not an emergency.
  • Google martha's healthy morning muffins. I usually make a batch and freeze them. Take 2 to work and pop them in the microwave for 30 seconds and you have yummy warm muffins :-)
  • I like to load it on a baked potato or a cruskit or have it on an open sandwich with bruschetta mix
  • A playpen and some toys for 45 minutes? Won't hurt them if they have your attention the rest of the day surely?
  • Mine is open, peak away :-) I have finally just managed to go a whole week being under my goal of 1400 cals NET. I didn't always eat clean to do it, but I got there and I lost 1.2 kg in the week :-)
  • I don't know if this is true where you live but here in Aus you can get workout dvds free at the local library - maybe have a look?
  • Fried potato products of all kinds, and allowing myself to believe that I cannot be properly relaxed unless I'm eating. Therefore whenever I crash out on the couch for some free time I feel like I need a serve of fast food or a large pack of chips/crisps (whatever you like to call them!) to enjoy it.
  • I prefer rewarding action. The scales are so fickle! I can't always control the scales but I can control whether I exercise, whether I'm under my cals etc.
  • Hey, if you're getting tired while swimming you may not be breathing properly. Make sure you turn your head clear of the water all the way, take a deep breath in and (very important!) bloooooow all that air out as bubbles into the water before you take your next breath. You should do a couple of private lessons and get…

  • Ok, that is adorable!
  • I think you need to be genetically gifted to pull off that haircut.
  • I weigh 70 kgs aiming for 62. 1400 calsNET seems to work for me, I exercise a fair bit, 1 hr cardio 4 times a week and 2 x heavy lifting sessions. At around 1600 net I maintain and anything over than can be a gain. I should note that those are averages over a week I tend to eat less during the week and more on the weekend…
  • I have one every morning as my morning snack. I have orange, pineapple, and two big handfuls of whatever leafy greens look good at the market that week. I don't know about for weight loss I see them as a super effective multivitamin. I don't replace meals with them, just snacks. Some benefits I have noticed in the last 6-8…
  • The New Rules of Lifting for Women book says "once a week is not enough, twice is ok, three times is perfect and four is probably too much" Highly recommend this book by the way
  • I pop mine in the microwave with a dash of milk for 30 secs, stir and nuke for another 20secs, stir again and pop onto your toast. Super quick and no added cals, out the door and on my bike in 15 minutes after I wake :-)

  • Here's what I did. For 10 weeks, I kept very careful track of my calories, making sure that I recorded everything no matter how bad. I varied my calories each week, sometimes as high as 1800 NET sometimes down to 1300. Always eating back exercise cals, although I averaged over the week so not always on the day I earned…
  • I havent read all the post sorry, did anyone mention Steve pavlina's method yet? Google Steve pavlina's how to be an early riser. Basically before bed you practice 3-4 times setting the alarm clock, lying down and pretending to sleep, then when the alarm goes off getting straight up and starting your routine. The idea is…
  • Oh, and don't give up on the gym! Just work through it, I had it for a while when I started exercising a lot but I kept going with the magnesium (potassium never seemed to be my problem) and it did pass eventually, and was even less frequent than before I started exercising.
  • I have had this over several stages in my life, I find that magnesium supplements have helped. A warm bath can be good, as hot as you can make it then go back to bed. Good luck, it is an awful feeling!
  • Hello! I'm also single... And would certainly appreciate any guys who want to post pics of themselves with puppies :-)
  • Omg so much plastic! I mean, that is a fantstically healthy shopping trolley but is there no little grocer in your town who doesn't sell everything wrapped in plastic?
