I am a part-time bartender and Mic Ultra seems to be the most popular.

I've never done zumba on the wii, but I love going to zumba class. I am looking forward to a new instructor tonight. Enjoy & congrats.

That is an awesome accomplishment. Congrats!

Add some fiber to fill you up longer. Chew on some gum to make you think you are eating. Drink water first then decide if you were hungry or actually thirsty. Go brush your teeth, you won't want to eat right after that. Take a lap around the office to get your mind off thinking you are hungry. Or, eat the carrot sticks or…

Eating clean is eating natural foods, nothing that is processed. I try to eat as clean as possible, but for me its impossible to completely clean.

Try the C25K program. It is awesome. Details are on Active.com. Who would think you could train for a 5K in 8 weeks.
-
I am doing C25K also and am running 2-3 days per week. I try to do some type of other activity on the "rest" days but don't always get it in.

"So" is my word. Sometimes it starts the sentence, sometimes it ends the sentence. I've recently noticed this "so" I am trying to not do it "so" much any more.

PS- I hate squats and lunges Squats and lunges are not my favorite either, but boy oh boy they seem to do the trick. My motto from now on is "mix it up".

I haven't done it yet, but I will tonight when I get home from work & errands. I run because not only is it something I never thought I would start doing at age 40, but also because I like it. Just like you, it frees my mind, lessens my anxiety, and provides me with an escape from my problems. Oh, and because it helps me…

Listen to your body. You definitely need "rest" days. That is when your muscles heal and in turn make you stronger. Make it a priority to rest 1-2 days a week. You can rest by simply going for a walk instead of an intense workout.

I started zumba'ing about Feb/March and love it. I haven't been able to go much in the summer due to my schedule, but I did make it last Thursday. I thought I was out of shape from not being there in so long but the gals said the instructor was hard on us that day. I've been doing C25K off & on since May so I'm still…

I am 5' 4" and my goal weight is where you are at right now...150 lbs. I have been over 200 for at least the past 10 years (I just turned 40 last month). I'd lose some here and then gain some back there. I have lost 40 lbs in the past year and want to lose another 25 before the holidays (be under 200). I am saying my…

That is fantastic! I am a Type 2 diabetic who has been really trying to get this under control for about a year. I have lost about 30 lbs and have a long way to go, but I've started exercising regularly and actually like it. My doctor put me on lantus insulin to help lower my triglycerides which made me swell up and gain…

You body needs to have rest days. That's how your muscles repair themselves and get stronger thus working more efficiently and burning more calories causing you to lose fat.
-
Sometimes I have to start over every day, sometimes just once a week. The important part is that we don't stop starting over. Welcome back and good luck to you.

I've started C25K twice since the end of May. I have had some health issues that forced me to take some time off, but I am determined to get past week 3. I am starting again tonight. I really enjoy it and fee so good after I've done it. Good luck with C25K.

Congrats to you. Keep up the good work. I like your saying "Let's kick this pig", I think I'm going to steal it.

Truly amazing! Congrats to you. You are an inspiration to us all.

marinate it in lemon juice, EVOO, little garlic, parsley, salt & pepper for 15-30 minutes then broil or grill

I started it back in April and really like it. Lately I have been straying from the "plan" but when I am on it I lose weight consistantly.

Mine only came with the heart monitor (leg & arm strap). You need to buy the other accessories. It's a great program. I haven't used mine in a few weeks because I've started walking/running outside, but will definitely get back to it when the weather turns. My favorite feature is the fact that you can design your own…

I tried watching it once. Hated it. I changed the channel less than half way through.

Compare some photos of yourself from 3 years ago to some from right now. Keep some of your "skinny" photos around to remind you that you are a success and why you worked so hard to get it off and continue to keep it off. I'm sure that will help you realize you're "skinny". Think about all the things you can do now that you…

The Wii Fit scale is higher than the normal scale I use. Also, when I weigh in on the Wii Active scale its usually a 2 lbs difference than Wii Fit. Just be consistant.
-
Yay for you! Keep up the excellent work.

Joining us is a good step. The support and advice we get & give here is based years of experience. I know personally I've lost over a hundred pounds throughout the years and still am overweight approaching 40. That is about to change and the reason I am here. Good luck with your journey.

I know the feeling. I started running last week using the C25K program. I have never been a runner, not even back in the day. I'm still considered obese by the BMI scale but I can do it, I can run (or jog). Congrats on your NSV.
-
Absolutely. Usually not the whole day but at least one meal. As a general rule I am not as strict on the weekends.
-
I too was wondering about that issue. I work in an office M-F but bartend & waitress on the weekends. I stuck with sedentary because that is what has the majority of the time. I figured any calories I burn above and beyond that doing my 2nd job, is a bonus burn.
