I've heard 1000 for an hour. I know one girl, a little smaller than me burned 880 for an hour. I'm hopefully going to figure out my new HRM for zumba class tomorrow.

I lost about 15 lbs in 6 weeks. My friend lost 25 in 8 weeks. Its a good plan for me. It's not for everyone. A co-worker of mine tried & only lost about 4 lbs and she hated it. She couldn't follow it. Good luck, I hope you like the 17 Day Diet.

40 is right around the corner for me...one month from today. I am already more fit now than I have been in about 5 years, but I want to be fit, not just fit for 40. This is a journey you will find many of us on and will gain so much support. Good luck and I hope you meet your goals.

That's great. Your weight loss and work outs will be so much more enjoyable and probably easier now that you husband is on board. Yay for you!

That is absolutely wonderful!!!! So happy for you. I can't wait until I am no longer obese ( just overweight working on being "healthy"). Congrats to you. You have worked hard.

I was just happy to survive W1D1. Then after I finished it I found out I did it wrong. I actually ran more than I was supposed to and my total time was almost twice the recommended time because I didn't have my HRM with me. Oh well. Better to do more than not enough I say. I feel pretty good. I did it on Sunday and apart…

I'm in. I've been wanting to start but its been raining non-stop here for a week and I don't have access to a treadmill. It's supposed to be nice this weekend so hopefully I can start Sat. or Sun. I'll send you a friend request.

My short term (summer) goal is to lose 25 lbs. and start running. My long term goal is to go on vacation next April, wear a bathing suit and not feel embarrassed. I've got an 8 weeks biggest loser contest starting tomorrow. I lost 18.8 lbs during the first 8 week contest, I am hoping to lose 15 during this one. One of my…

Way to go! You've done excellent. How long did it take you?

Yes, I was very, very, very sad when I had to give up my Starbucks. I still can not justify the calories even with the skim milk (which I prefer), no whip. So, black coffee it is with artificial sweetener when I get the craving. I love their oatmeal. I treat myself to it once or twice a week to that, no white chocolate…

Welcome new friends. The people here are great and the support they provide is too. I've never heard of Loseit.com but I'm pretty sure you won't want to go back there after a few days here.

absolutely! Great job! Keep up the good work.

That's awesome. I am looking forward to my upcoming doctor visit. I have lost about 20 lbs since then and hope to get off one or more of my meds. Plus, I know my diabetes is in check now and hopefully won't be an issue any more. Congrats!

I am doing a happy dance for you too! Congrats.

I too want to do a 5k. I am going to start the C25K very soon. 9 weeks sounds like a short time to be ready for this but I'm going to give it my all. I too am nervous about this but know deep down that I can do it.

AWESOME!!!

Schedule a visit with a dietician. The dietician really helped me get my eating habits turned around. They know all the products that are low in sugar.

That is fantastic! Keep it up. Today I am wearing a skort that I haven't worn in at least 4 years. We should all be very proud of ourselves. Happy Friday!

Thanks for sharing everyone! I appreciate the inspiration you are sharing with us.

I can not wait until the same thing happens to me. WAY TO GO!

That was very inspirational. I like it! Thank you!

I am totally going to make this. Thanks!

I know the feeling. I am quite a ways away, but I can't wait for the scale/BMI to be just "overweight" and not "obese". Thanks for posting this. It cheered me up.

Do yourself a favor and only weigh in once a week (twice at the most). The scale is evil and can fluctuate greatly from day to day regardless of exercise and caloric input. Be sure to drink lots of water throughout the day and during your workout.

Thanks for sharing. It's stories like yours that are truly inspirational. I too am on many medications that I would like to be rid of permanently. I wish you success in achieving your ultimate goal. Congrats on being healthy!

Some people are negative to begin with, top that with your success at something she clearly has not been able to do and you get negative comments. Don't let it bother you, its not anything you can control. You control how you feel, what you say and what you put in your mouth. Just relish in your successes so far and keep…

I used to eat them often, but now that I've expanded my roster in the kitchen I prefer to make dinner and make sure there is enough left over for 1 or 2 lunches. I have more control over everything.

I don't know what it was, but this morning my AM blood sugar was 119. That's the lowest it has been in at least 6 months. I'm going to have to do some more research on this subject. It could be contributed to by my diet and exercise, but no matter what it was down. Yipee!

That is AWESOME! I am hoping to hit my first "official" 20 by the end of the week. I lost about 20 lbs. before I started MFP and then gained some back over the holidays. So, I am really close right now. I too have a long way to go but have really come to enjoy my exercising and I feel so much better in general. I move a…
