Listen to your healthcare professional, and not random strangers on the internet. Not just regarding Herbalife, but all health matters.

I have been trying to get going with the C25K program, but face the same issue. I get to Day 2 or 3 and my shins start hurting and I need to rest for days or cut runs short. I am still pretty heavy and thought maybe that was the issue. I live close to the wonderful running trails by the Mississippi River in Minneapolis and…

Except for water sports: If you are using a Vivosmart you don't need to log anything, if you are using a HR strap and enter activity mode. The name of the exercise will be weird sometimes, but the calories will sync over just fine.

1680 for BMR sounds a bit high, I think this may be your TDEE not your BMR. BMR is what your body need to function, breathe, beat your heart, etc. TDEE is what your body needs to sustain your body with our activity level, going to work, walking around the grocery store, wrangling the kids, etc. To lose weight in a healthy…

As others have said, you are comparing apples to oranges here. Just because something is low in calories doesn't make it healthy.

In the end both are estimates, the HRM is probably the more accurate estimate however.

I wouldn't think you would need recipes for smoothies honestly. Just throw some fruit/veggies, protein powers, water/ice/soy milk into a blender and BAM! Smoothie. However, others seem to think you need recipes.. so Google returns lots of websites for "Smoothie Recipes" Such as,…

1200 is given to a lot of people, most of the times it's because you selected "Lose 2 lbs a week" (1000 calorie deficit). Unless you are very overweight, this is not a reasonable goal. Change your settings and it will given you more calories. Your goals can also be manually set.

There is no magic pill, or in this case tea. There are many benefits of drinking green tea, one reported benefit is improved metabolism. While this may be true is it not to the degree that you will suddenly start dropping 5 + lbs a week just be drinking green tea every day. Weight loss is achieved by burning more calories…

1. Don't worry if you can't keep up, rest if you need to. 2. Don't worry if you can't perform each dance move perfectly, practice makes perfect. 3. Smile and have fun! Tip: Wear tread-less shoes. They will let you spin and pivot easier. They even sell special zumba shoes, but you don't really need them.…

If you lived in Minneapolis I would swear you were talking about my boyfriend. He LOVES Zumba!! He can't dance at all and looks a bit like a robot with rusty joints, but that doesn't stop him from having a blast. I have attended a few classes (I had a hard time keeping up so that discouraged me a bit). My gym offers…

27.8% BF is within the healthy range. Is there a reason you wish to drop another 10%? http://www.builtlean.com/2010/08/03/ideal-body-fat-percentage-chart/

I believe that parents can contribute to children developing bad eating habits, many habits continue into adulthood and can be a struggle to break. However once you are an adult, living outside your parent house, you are responsible for yourself. I chose to eat unhealthy foods, I chose to not exercise regularly, I chose to…

If you have a smartphone, take a look at an app called "I Can't Wake Up". Its a free app. There are different tasks you need to perform before it will allow you to snooze or turn the alarm off. Puzzles, passwords, etc. My favorite is the barcode scanner. You can program several items and it will randomly select one each…

From the FAQ Doesn't strength training burn calories? Why don't you show any calories burned for strength training? Estimating the calories burned from strength training is very difficult because it depends on a variety of factors: how much weight you lifted per repetition, how vigorously you performed that exercise, how…

You can eat more calories without eating more. You just need to replace some of the lower calories foods you are currently eating with more calorie dense foods. There are lots of healthy high calories foods. Do a Google search for "high calorie healthy foods". Lots of results will come up. Some that I can think of off the…

A marathon is a bit over my level of readiness just yet, still haven't done a 5K. But I do plan to go out for a run tonight and send my thoughts to those affected.

Most cities have laws about owners keeping their dogs under control. If these "sketchy" dogs are causing harm to your dog when you try to walk him/her, then I would report the owners. It is the owners responsibility to provide proper training for their animals. All dogs (including Pitbulls) are good at heart, its the…

Depends on the distance from the phone I think. My know my bluetooth headset won't let me get very far away from my phone without disconnecting.

There are calculators out there but they are pretty inaccurate. For a better estimate of calories burned, a HRM is the best option.

Forget him. You deserve better. You are more than a trophy on a guys arm. Also sounds like his family is a bunch of pricks as well.

The last 10 pounds are always the hardest. It won't happen over night.

Unsweetened Iced Tea is a refreshing change from water. I brew mine from scratch using a variety of different teas. I'm a bit of a tea snob so I can't stomach those horrible store bought mixes anymore. Lemon or Lime water is another choice as you already mentioned.

1560 might be too low of a calorie goal. Have you determined what your BMR and TDEE is? If you haven't check out Scooby's website, he has a great calculator. http://scoobysworkshop.com/accurate-calorie-calculator/ I too started with just over 100 lbs to lose. I started out at the insanely low 1200 that MFP tells you. I did…

I am very self conscious about working out as well. I used to hate the gym because of a fear that everyone was looking at me and whispering about the fat girl trying to workout. Logically I knew this wasn't true, but I just couldn't stop my brain from thinking it. Eventually I got over it and I don't feel that way at the…

I had braces for many years. I was able to eat most things, I just had to cut them up instead of biting into them. Carrots, Celery, Apples, Corn on the cob, etc.
