Great Work!!

Hi there. Feel free to add me. I'm 37 from Australia. I started at 101kg (222lbs) and am down to 95kg (209) after logging for 47 days in a row. I'm here for a long time I hope as i'm looking to get down to about 78kg (171). I haven't done anything fancy to be honest. Just kept in mind that I need patience. I've had a few…

Feel free to add me. I'm a 37 yo male. I'm looking to lose another 15 Kgs. Good support here on MFP

I personally don't like to use BMI as an indicator. It doesn't seem to take everything into account, like weight from muscle etc. My brother, for example, comes up as obese. He's 176 cm and quite muscly. He is in no way obese in my opinion...but that's what BMI tells him. I'm obese too apparently. I would have thought…

I'd be cautious to avoid snacking late, if that's what you really like to do. It may set you up for failure. I agree, and do, what other people have said and that is budget for it. I like to have a glass of wine or two at night once the kids are in bed, so I make sure I've got some calories left to do that - I find it much…

Yep i'd definitely say give it longer before dropping calorie intake. Definitely make sure you are logging accurately and measuring/weighing food. This is the 3rd time I've used MFP. First time didn't last long, second time went just over a month and stopped logging. This time is different. I'm not worrying about the speed…

Great work...keep at it as it is getting bigger and bigger. Both Crows and Power here in SA are applying for a license into the Women's AFL comp starting next year.
-
ah great work! Where do you play AFL, if you don't mind me asking? I love seeing female AFL growing!
-
Oh hopefully it's not a big operation! What sort of footy do you play?
-
Really good so far. Has been relatively easy at this point. Have lost 5kg (11lbs) so far. Have found it easier this time as I haven't cut much out in terms of bad stuff just yet, just added in lots of good stuff and reduced the bad stuff. What are you looking to achieve?
-
Feel free to add me too...i'm about 4 or 5 weeks into it. Good luck :)
-
Welcome back! I added you on here and snapchat...feel free to add back, Good luck with your journey!
-
Wow, it's bright in here
-
Yes me too!
-
Hi Sandy I'm similar to you in terms of just starting here on MFP, so feel free to add me! I'm only about 5 days in. I've tried the Yoga thing once, and really enjoyed it, but I need to find the time to get back into it, as I think it would be beneficial, along with weights and some cardio. All the best with your goals!!
-
Mine seems to drop in and out at times as to whether I can do it from my newsfeed. Would have to be a glitch...although haven't had any problems the past two days.
-
I'm going to be on here this time next year! Amazing work everyone!
-
Yeah i'm lazy too - I used to only do running for my cardio, which I don't enjoy - but, even though its early days, I've started playing tennis as I really enjoy it - and it's getting me up in the mornings! Hoping to continue to play it 3-4 times a week and as I get some energy back, get back into weights So as other…

I'm doing the same mate...good luck to you!
-
I'm keen to join in - would love it if you want to add me too! I'm 36 with two kids and want to lose 40-50 lbs
-
Looking for more friends for motivation...please add me!
-
THIS ONE! This one right here is my motivation - unreal effort and is how I want to look when i'm done! Everyone on this thread has done an amazing job - Well done!
-
Hey there - i'm the same - used it about 3 years ago, lost some weight, but put it all back on when stopped using MFP. Please feel free to add me and we can help each other...and anyone else too would be great :)
-
Wow you look great, well done!
-
Hi there - i'm in the same boat - joined up a while back but stopped logging in. Back into it just over a week ago and feel really motivated - use it on my computer at work and the app on my phone at night and on weekends. Keeeeeeen to make a difference this time!
-
Hi all. I'm from Adelaide, Australia
-
Cheers for that info.
-
Thanks for the info - I'll have a look at that thread you posted. No I'm not sure what my BMR and TDEE are - i've basically just put the info into MFP at 2lbs a week and then it's given me total of 1630. To be honest I haven't really struggled to keep within that, and have gon quite under that at times when i've done a…

Thats true - certainly important not to completely cut out the things you love, otherwise you'll struggle to keep it going.
-
Cheers for that - obviously wanting to avoid eating too few calories, and inhibiting muscle growth and/or fat loss
