I'm inclined to think mornings are better...if you're not stumbling around, falling off the treadmill / bike, or dropping weights on your toes. I don't wake up until I absolutely have to. The BMR tool shows that I am allowed 2500 calories per day. I dare say I even get close to that amount. I'm typically eating about 1600 to 1800 calories per day. My mom is JUST LIKE THIS. So is my grandma. I typically do what age1389 says. I'll eat a little of this...a little of that and avoid the rest of the CRAP. And, if you still feel guilty be sure to exercise it off! But, I totally agree...it's really really difficult when your mom wants to cook for her baby.
