i just read this book "run, fat ***** run" the main points were "drink more water" and "eat less crap" as well as exercising as much as possible. It tells you to get intouch with "your inner *****" that person in there who is your harshest critic. cant be easy juggling all of that but start small, MAKE TIME in your day in…

Had been training for the REAL womens duathlon, so had been running/biking x5/6 per week. now that has been completed starting on strength training that i will do at home x2 per week and will run x2/3 per week. With 30DS, is this something that you would repeat over? Or do you only do for 30days and then redundant?…

Hello! I am Hayley and live in the South Waikato. Have been a member since December. I have recently reached my goal weight but am still here, trying to tone up and still here to support and encourage others on there journey. Weightloss in journey not a destination :)

i intend to get rid of my bigger clothes, have been meaning to for ages but they are still sitting here. i will probably list a few of the nicer ones on trademe and give the rest away. what is a good way to ask someone if they would like them without offending them in relation to their size?

To live a long and happy life. To have mountains of energy

i completed my first ever duathlon this morning. considering i didnt run about 4months ago, super pleased. anything is possible. set your self goals and just do it

enjoy having a hot body. lol. but seriously this is a journey not a destination so once i have achieved my goals i plan to work just as hard at maintaining. there is no point going through this hardwork of exercise and healthy eating to let it slide once you get there. what do YOU plan to do miller?

to answer your question, if YOU would like to eat all your calories on an exercise day, try and spread them out over the day if you are not hungry after 7pm. find some snacks which are high in calories, nuts, cheese etc to help you Does it really matter? Depends, does it bother YOU? you will get loads of advice so do what…

well said

I disagree, my take on it is that if you are wanting to loose the desired amount per week set in the goals section ie "1lb per week" then you should eat all your cals including exercise cals as it takes into acount your daily activity level as you specified. this is not to say you should or shouldnt eat back those…

yes totally agree kristi, you know how much i am loving running at the moment - today was so hard for me to have a rest day but i thought it necessary after doing yesterdays run/bike/run. i still plan to exercise 5 days a week and be mindful of what i eat have my strength training program and will be starting it in two…

@taso - great advice, i will certainly log til i feel comfortable then hopefully down the track i will not be so reliant on logging that i can take a break @rubybelle - forums here are great, nice to chat to like minded people with similar goals of health and fitness. @zara - this is certainly a lifestyle and great that…

We are the exact same height and weight although I am younger. Dam I hope I will still be the same at 45, you look great! I had a comment similar the other day too saying that I dont need to loose any more weight. Have just reached my goal weight recently - my bmi is 24 and i am undecided whether i will aim to reach 22,…

to be injury free is a good reason also. i do like to mix it up alot, i alternate between running/ biking or both usually for around 30mins so not particularly long
-
i think i will try and use this mindset, that a day off will equal a more productive day the following day

i would find some friends on MFP who have similar goals. make your food diary public, maybe the shame game will be good motivation? this journey is about wanting to do this and wanting to do this for yourself, no one else. sometimes you will have bad days, who doesnt, try again the next day. whats the worst that can…

good on you for taking the first steps. joining this site is huge, keep up the logging every day and build up your exercise. you will be feeling great as you see results
-
agree, you need to vary your training and surprise your body so its not expecting the same thing all the time. ie if you usually walk for 10mins, perhaps you could interval train, ie speed walk 1 min, then regular pace etc etc, or increase intensity etc. not sure what your food diary is like but make sure you are eating at…

fresh fruit salad goes down a treat, use what ever fruit is in season with 3-4 varieties in there. banana, orange, melon, strawberries. whatever floats your boat. i love this as it satifies cravings for sweet food while staying healthy

personally i dont want to log for ever but i dont see myself leaving anytime soon either. i want to establish healthy eating and good fitness habits as my way of life. i love the motivation this site provides for myself and others. ROCK ON MFP!

this thread cracked me up cos this was me last night! 7 beers = 770cals. oh dear. please try and make sensible food choices tomorrow. my hangover food included 2 sausages at morning tea, mcdonalds for lunch - cheeseburger, fries and chicken nuggets. so i learnt the hard way. drink lots of water before you go to bed it…
