  • I think you did great!! 5th place is something to be super proud about...even starting a 5k is more than a lot of people do! My personal best 5k without obstacles was 29 minutes. I ran the Warrior Dash (5k with 12 obstacles) in 40 minutes. Congrats again on your first 5k!!! :)
  • Bump...love this thread!
  • AMEN. Thank you! I am working to get into my pre-pregnancy rocker t-shirts that I will wear when I am old and wrinkly and ENJOYING LIFE. Also, fashion is changing every single day. Keep in mind that there is no set rules to what we should and should not wear.
  • I love this thread!! I have been struggling to break through my plateau even with extremely good eating! I was eating everything that was good for me, but I still implemented a lot of wheat, bread, and pastas (my weakness!!). Finally, I got fed up with not seeing any progress even when I would strength train three times a…
  • Set incline on treadmill to 5 (not sure percentage)...Walk @4mph for 3 minutes, Jog @5mph for 3 minutes, Run @7mph for 1 minute, Jog @5mph for 1 minute then Run @7mph for 1 minute. That's one set. 9 minutes long. Do four sets with squat jumps in between. Works up a sweat and you can choose on how long you want to go. One…
  • When my little girl takes her afternoon nap is when I run (around 1:30), and then I run again when my husband gets home so they can spend time together while I get in a more intense workout (around 5:30). I used to exercise in the morning and hated it. I didn't find myself enjoying it as much so I switched to later times…
  • Just did a Warrior Dash at the beginning of May and it was my first time doing it! I've been running for the past year to get prepared for it and I still had to walk (after coming out of the water, when I was weighing a little more than I expected with my shoes full of mud!)...while I was walking, a guy jogged by me and my…
  • It's sad...because this is what our generation is going to look like in a few years...and they will be younger...SMH.

  • I've been a SAHM since my daughter was born which was last February. I had worked since I was 14 at high intensity jobs that required me to stay on my feet for the majority of the day. I have always wanted to be a SAHM so when I became pregnant, my husband and I sat down and talked about it. We went over the financial…
  • My fastest was 8:30 but I run longer distances now. Training for a marathon! :) Good luck!
  • Honestly, I think you should go for it! If you are not comfortable with them now and want to change them, then go for it! Get all of the information and do LOTS of research before! I don't have implants but I am waiting until after I am done having children and my weight loss journey before getting them, or at least…
  • I used to run an hour on the treadmill everyday of the week...didn't see any weight loss...decided to walk for 5-10 miles a day and lost 4 lbs in one week. I switch it up though and run some days and then rest one week during the month...I try to get a minimum of 40 miles overall for the week. I track it all on…
  • It was very well put but I just don't know if I agree with it. I was extremely athletic and in shape when I was in high school and college, but when I got pregnant and gained tons of weight, it was because I didn't value myself enough to make the good decisions that would help me be healthy. My friends still loved me but…
  • Slow Cooker Baked Potato Soup Ingredients: 5 pounds russet potatoes, washed but NOT peeled. Diced into 1/2 inch(ish) cubes 1 medium/large yellow onion, diced 10 cloves of garlic, minced (if you use jarred, it's a 5 teaspoon equivalent) 64 ounces (8 cups) chicken stock or broth 16 oz cream cheese, softened (I use low fat) 1…
  • My first tattoo and a belly button piercing...plus, a little party to show them off...and to get drunk, of course! :)
  • I'm EXACTLY like this!! I weighed my heaviest at 200lbs...and it's so hard to admit that!! Especially to other people. I used to be around the 150 area but gained lots of weight after my pregnancy. I'm also 5'5"! I'm on the same journey as you and I am absolutely serious about it, like you! I've lost almost 20 lbs so far…
  • I'm 22, stay at home mom and looking to lose about 50 to 70 lbs (I've lost almost 20 so far). :) I'm training for a marathon and I am going to do the Warrior Dash in May. Feel free to add and I will be happy to support and lend an ear whenever you need it! :)
  • I'm 22 years old and looking to lose around 70 although I will be happy with 50 lost. I am almost 20 lbs down! :) I'm also training for a marathon and I will be doing Warrior Dash in May. Feel free to add!
  • Soda of all kinds (Sprite, 7-up) and Facebook! I want to grow my relationship with God and it's hard to do when you're too busy finding out other people's business. :) I'm going to focus on that relationship and getting as healthy as I can be! :)
  • I had a really tough time cutting out unneccessary eating, especially chocolate! I would eat so much that I would have to exercise a lot just to get back down under my calorie intake. I read about a technique that works, though, and it's helped me a LOT. I don't eat chocolate anymore, except in small small small amounts.…
