  • Thanks! great info! I actually was thinking about eating less during the week and eating a little more after my long runs
  • Thanks! Yeah, I have my moments of not getting enough protein and I go back and forth with healthy and not so healthy, never really that bad :) I was trying to do one thing at a time, work on the calorie level and then maybe getting better with macros.
  • You have alot of calories left over during the day. When you exercise calories MFP is desinged to eat those calories back because it already puts in a 500 calorie a day deficit. You need to eat enough to fuel your body especially when you exercise. Have you seen posts about TDEE? Got to Fat2Fitradio.com and figure out what…
  • I been using a modified version of this method for about 1.5 months and have lost about 2 pounds, not much but I am losing more inches and gaining muscle from doing Jillian Michaels Body Revolution, Turbo Fire and Running. I take my TDEE from my FitBit for the day and mins 500 calories, sometimes it is less sometimes more.…
  • At 5'10' and 150 I would like like a skeleton! I am 5'10.5 and I look my best at 168-175! If you are concerned about your midsection, then eat cleaner, eat more calories, do HIIT and weight training and that should help you shed fat around the midsection. I think you need to lose fat not overall weight because 150 is fine.…
  • No need to carb load for a half marathon, for a marathon you may need to increase the percentage of carbs you eat but not more calories. A remember most people burn around 100 calories per mile that would be 1300 to maybe no more than 2000 calories for a half so you cannot eat as much as you think you can afterwards. Don't…
  • The more miles you run I guarantee you, you will start getting hungry. I am an avid runner and if you do not fuel you body properly when running alot of miles you will likely gain weight! That is what happened to me. Make sure that you are eating those running calories back and do a moderate calorie deficit or your body…
  • Big Girls can be runners too! 309144_504167689611061_826967637_n by skincy, on Flickr
  • Finally figured it out!! 38-31-41!! upload by skincy, on Flickr
  • How do you add pictures?
  • Oh I already said that hahahaha! No what is funny is that when I used to run I think I was not eating enough because I gained weight! or I really was overeating because I did not track it. I am going to do it different this time!
  • I am a marathoner so I run a lot :)
  • got to fat2fitradio.com, this cna help you determine what your should be eating
  • I am 5'11' and I have come to realize my calorie needs are much more then the average woman. I definately was trying to cut my calories way too much before!
  • That is only on my very lazy days. The days I run and do strenght training my TDEE is upwards of 2800 to 3500. I run alot and alot of marathons and long runs
  • Yes! I am so much happier!! I have had a couple of over days, but mostly keeping at least a 250 deficit. My diary might not show it because I have been using my fitbit to kind of get a better idea of what I burn during the day. I burn at least 2200 calories just on my lazy days so I know me trying to eating lower than…
  • I am 5'11" SW 206 CW 201 GW 160 I work out 30 minutes to 2 hours six days a week. I eat 1800-3000 calories depending on my daily burn and losing weight and inches. Not sure why my ticker only says one pound loss, lost about 5 pounds. Its slow but steady and sustainable and I get to eat. I still get shocked by how little…
  • For about 2 months I have based my calories on my TDEE and my fitbit. I am 5'11'' and I burn 2500 calories on a light active day and I burn upwards of 3400 calories on my active days. So my calories range from 1800-2900! I am losing inches and weight slowly, but not gaining! its ok to eat people!! and it feels so much…
  • When I want bad stuff, I eat it if I stay within my calories. But I only try to do it on days I run because I know I have extra calories I can use.

  • In San Antonio, we actually have My Fit Foods locations. They are great meals with healthy ingredients. If you need something for fast meals they are worth it. I use them periodically.

  • As an avid marathoner, I can tell I gained weight with running as well. Make sure to include weight training in your program. I was gaining weight because I was not eating enough calories because with all the miles I was putting in. Just running 6 miles and doing 30 minute resistance routine I can eat around 3000 calories…
  • I really get tired of the high and mighty people on here. Get over it already. If it annoys you don't read it!!
  • Almond Butter Not peanut butter
  • I have replaced my Peanut Butter with Trader Joe's Raw Unsalted Peanut butter. I love it. Its still has the same amount of fat and calories but it does not have a bunch of processed crap. As long as you are staying within your deficit I see no problem.
  • Love your hips!! Media has made people thing that hips are a bad thing. Hips are beautiful and I think personally when women have some curves and a little junk in the trunk they look more like a woman! Does not mean you cannot reduce them by shedding unwanted weight, but if you have wide hips they are always bigger in…
  • yep!! took me many years to figure this out but I think its the way to go!!
  • BTW, you heart issues could be related to thyroid problems too! GO TO A DR
  • If you think you are hypothyroid and you have what feels like a lump in your throat it could be a goiter. Which means you need to dr to see if you need to be on thyroid hormone replacement. I can tell you losing weight without treatment will be hard because your thyroid is a major player in your metabolism. If you need…
