if you add chia seeds and/or greek yogurt you can get full quick on shakes. I do the overnight oatmeal many times and that keeps me full until lunch. 1/4 c old fashioned oats 1/4 c greek yogurt (plain) 1/3 c milk 1 T chia seeds that's your base... you can add fruits/nuts/jams as you wish to make your flavors. just make…

you can premake baggies and freeze them then just put it in the bullet in the morning... that way you can prep whenever is most convenient for you. when i make juices or smoothies, many times i store in mason jars and freeze... and try to consume them all that week. just don't let it thaw and refreeze and such.

on my journey, i started with barbie weights.... lol light weights... however this didn't really get me anywhere. Start with free weights, and do low reps, high weight... if you have to throw it around (ie.. use momentum to get the weight up) then it's too heavy.. .if its too easy, move up in weight. it'll be good to push…

There's several schools of thought on this. One is that you need several meals to regulate metabolism and blood sugar... another is that calories are calories no matter when you eat them, or in how many meals. Do what works best for you. There are days I eat 2x and other days I eat 5x. it all depends on what i have going…

Thank you for your replies. I can see it being more of a security thing, seeing as I am busier now than ever with keeping myself busy, as well as my kid. I just wasn't sure if this is something that can be affecting my overall success with trying to get into a healthy lifestyle.

yes, I know how you feel.. Im just out of a bad marriage, and I want to pump up my social life too, but with a kid it makes it difficult. For me, so much of it was truly feeling good about myself (which you are already doing !) and stepping out of my comfort zone. I had to say hi to someone i didn't know... , i'm not the…

besides the fact that 98% of soy used in processed foods is GMO, it can create issues with males in providing too much estrogen. I still eat edamame, but I try not to eat much of it in processed foods.

you've got this. I've got about 80 to lose, but I'm trying to settle for 50, as long as I can lift and build muscle. Im of the mentality of everything in moderation. one day wont kill your diet, as it didn't take one day for it to all come on. Good luck!!

Im not particularly invested in rugby, but I will say my trip to NZ put my heart there... so I gotta say.. ALL BLACKS!! :)

Roasted asparagus tossed in olive oil, salt and pepper. It's pretty amazing. Roasted cabbage with lemon juice and olive oil and salt and pepper. I'm trying cauliflower this week with buffalo sauce on it. :)

it is probably water retention by your muscles because they need to repair themselves. If you're gaining muscle, its a good thing. are you measuring also? the number on the scale doesn't tell the whole story. :)

you could do mashed cauliflower instead of mashed potatoes on the shephards pie. That would be even more healthy!

you get sore due to lactic acid also. If you drink lots of water this will help the muscles heal and flush out the acid.

Semper Fi to all the Marines out there! My grandpa was a Marine, and I've never been more proud of anything than to know he was in the Corp. Happy Birthday!

wheat and milk can do it if you have intolerance to it. I think you can be tested for IBS but mainly I would just start with cutting certain things out of your diet and see if it helps. Also, keep up with water cause it can get worse if dehydrated (at least with me it does)
