Hi everyone. I watched the film tonight and am finally taking the plunge and giving it a go. The book and juicer have been ordered and I am planning to go for a 10 day juice fast to start with. Excited to get going :)

I think something has changed too. When I took them a few years ago I was told to aim to eat nothing with more than 5% fat at each meal where as now it is something like no more than 30% of your daily calories from fat. I am not noticing any side effects whatever I eat and neither am I noticing weight loss. In November I…

Hi I am glad to see people are still posting. I had my first weigh in with the doctor this week. After a month I've only lost a KG. I am really disappointed, it felt like I had lost more and I would have expected a better result than that just counting calories alone. But I am sticking with it because I figure every little…

Hello I am new and so glad there is a group to share my Twilight love with :-) I really loved the film but I wish it had been longer. The other Cullens could have had a bit more screen time, I missed them a bit. I had a brain haemorrhage since I last read the books so when the fight scene started I was very confused! I…

Haters gonna hate is unfortunately the truth I think. I got as far as 21 pounds off this year before health and head stuff got in the way and I needed to take a break from MFP to get myself sorted. I put nearly all of it back on pretty quickly - isn't that always the way? Fight to get every pound off but can stick them on…

Hi everyone I am starting xenical again today. I had it a few years ago but basically cheated by not taking the tablets if I wanted something high fat. I have various medical stuff going on so my GP thinks this might just give me a hand dealing with my weight. I am really hoping I can avoid the side effects and it helps me…

Hi, I just joined too for the same reason :)

I am in the process of getting diagnosed. My last lot of bloods were boderline for underactive and I am just waiting for the results of the latest lot. The nurse said even if it stays borderline it will eventually hit the magic number and then they will look at medication. I have lost 21lbs fairly regularly since Christmas…

I have a perscription for them that I can't currently fill. I am not pro diet pills in general but I do have serious medical issues and there are a lot of reasons why shifting weight quickly would be beneficial... I'm glad I can't fill the scrip for now to give me more time to think :)

I just got the biggest loser one and I really like it. The menus are a pain to navigate as the kinect sensor seems to jump about more than on any other games I have. But once you get to the actual work out it is great. You can choose the intensity of the work out, how many times you want to work out a week and it schedules…

I normally go for steam dumplings which I share with my husband and have 3. For main I have steamed plain rice and king prawns with ginger and spring onion which I normally can't finish. It is so much better than when we used to order far too much and I'd stuff myself and still feel guilty for leaving left overs!

Thanks everyone that is really helpful :) If it was my birthday I would have a cheat day but it is a friends birthday and I have am having my hen do in a couple of weeks (been married 5 years but never got round to one before - long story!) and I am planning on letting go and enjoying that too :D

I find weekends much harder too. In the week I don't struggle much at all with grazing or getting the cravings in the week but once everyone is here for the weekend it is a constant battle!

I haven't heard of Scivation Xtend before, is that available in the UK?

Hi I am from the sunny (not) North and am 6lb down with 64lb to go. My name is Fee, I am 32 and I have 2 young daughters. Please feel free to add me - that goes for any of you other lovely people too.

Mine did that too, were you watching on Virgin Media replay too? Soo annoying! I googled and found out who went and was pleased actually but I won't spoil the end for you!

I am finding it helpful, particularly when I am making a meal myself rather than just scanning a couple of packets. If I know what I am eating I find it easier to avoid going over my target because if I get peckish I know what snacks I can have.

I am watching last nights UK episode now. I think I watched an episode once before in the dim and distant past, I'm not sure. I am not sure why they all had to weigh in for the first time in pubs and shopping centres. They all seemed very well aware of their weight and the fact they needed to change, I don't think public…

That is great, really inspirational x

Good luck! You did it once and you can do it again :)

Amen to that! I find it helps me feel much more in control if I accept there will be days when I go over my goal calorie limit. It is my daughters birthday in a couple of weeks. There will be cake and sweets and I will have some of them. I am finding that planning and accepting is stopping me trying not to have some of the…

Just checked and for sodium it says 'trace' but that is a good tip, I will keep an eye out for that. Thank you :)

I have sent Alicja a message but in case anyone else wants to check it out, the add on can be accessed in the Kinect Sport game in the extras section and I first saw that there was a calorie challenge in the game, in the stadium part where can can make the crowd cheer and mexican wave. It was 320 credits.

Hi I just got a Kinect and Kinect Sports today and downloaded a calorie challange ad on. Basically you choose how many calories you want to burn and it sets you different challanges to complete until you have reached or exceeded the target. Me and my husband have had a go at all the sports and dance central today and I…
