I work out at home or in a small gym at work, so if I start to feel like I'm getting a cold I work out and try to sweat out the germs. Honestly, since I started working out regularly, I haven't really been sick, even with anything worse than a minor cold. So if I can physically do a work out, I'm going to.

I actually had this happen to me a couple of years ago- and I was not pregnant. Everything I ate upset my stomach, but I never threw up or anything, I just felt crappy. After a couple of weeks of it I finally went to the doctor and they told it was probably just a virus. A couple of days after seeing the doctor I started…

Jillian Michaels has some good, short workouts. Check out 30 Day Shred. If you're looking for something a little more intense, you can check out Focus T25 from Beachbody. It's 25 minutes a day and a REALLY good workout. There's also all kinds of workout on youtube so you can try out different things. Good luck!

I have this same issue, but it's just when I start out. Once I get into the workout I stop for the most part. I don't know why it happens, but my guess is that it's my body trying to get more oxygen when I start working out. That's just a guess, though.

"Break My Stride" by Matthew Wilder. I consider that my theme song- and it's a great motivator for running.

I'd say to just try to go a little longer for each run. Like if you're going to run for a total of 30 minutes, start out with a 3 ten minute runs, then the next time you run try to start with 11 minutes and then 9 minutes and then 10, third run do 12/8/10 or 12/9/9, and just keep working your way up on the first running…

Can I join even if I only want to lose about 15 pounds? I'm an almost 35 year old mother of 5 year old twins. I work full time, plus I'm really involved in my Moms of Multiples club and I seem to always have something going on.

I'm on week 2 of Beta (feel free to add me as a friend if you want). When I finished Alpha I felt like I was getting comfortable with the workouts and while they were still hard I was ready for something new. Most of the Beta workouts are kicking my butt! But in a good way. I say give Beta a try- you can always stick with…

Great results! I did Stage 1, 8A yesterday and I'll do 8B tomorrow. I'll do my AMRAPs next week before I head to the beach for a week. I've seen great improvements in my strength, but I haven't done measurements yet. I'll do those either this weekend or next week. I hope to see some change. :) When are you starting Stage 2?
-
I try to increase them every workout, but I'm limited on what weights I have one day a week so that one usually ends up being lower than other workouts on most moves. I don't know if that sentence made any sense. :) But I try to increase at least once a week on most moves. I'm still on stage one and I think I've increased…

Feel free to add me. I just started last week. I did stage 1 workout b2 yesterday.

I just started last week, so I'll add you as a friend, if that's okay. I'm 5'8" and about 175, but I'd love to get down into the 150s. I'm also a runner and still trying to figure out how to schedule everything so I can get my runs in and not mess up my lifting. So far I love this program, though. I hope you do, too.

I'm just on my second week of NROLFW and I'm a runner, so it's great to hear about the increase in endurance and speed from lifting. I'd love to be faster without having to run more- I do love to run, but I'd rather lift right now. :)

Well, gosh, losing body fat is what I really want, but I find it hard to give up my cardio. I don't want to stop running, but I would be okay with just doing 1-2 runs a week. It just seems counter intuitive that body fat would come off better from only working out 3 days a week vs working out 5-6 days a week. I don't doubt…

I just started the New Rules of Lifting for Women program yesterday. I liked the first workout and I'm definitely feeling it today. You do need a barbell and stuff for it, though.

Feel free to add me. I'm a runner- and really only a little faster than you. :) I've done 2 10 milers, one half and some 5ks and 8ks. I have another 8k this weekend and I'm considering a 20k this summer. I'm 34 with almost 5 year old twins. :)

I was born on the exact day of the Jonestown mass suicide.

I did P90X last year and had great results. After that I did Insanity and wasn't as impressed. I'd highly recommend P90X. I still do the workouts sometimes, but I'm getting bored with them and I'm on the search for something new. Feel free to add me as a friend. :)

You look great! And go Giants! I've lived my whole life in Virginia, but I'm a big SF Giants fan! I hope to get out there someday for a home game.
-
I agree with staying far away from Insanity this soon. What about something like P90X? You need weights or bands, but that's it. Those are long workouts, though. You could start out with 30 Day Shred, too.

A great thing to do if you want to start running is Couch to 5k. It's a program that eases you into running. I used it when coming back from an injury and it worked well for me. My husband used it and then ran his first ever 5k. He and I ran 4 miles together this weekend. It works. But really, if you want to start running,…

I just sold my double jogger, but I loved it. I had a BOB Duallie Revolution and it was great. I have 4 1/2 year old twins and I got the stroller when they were babies. It was a great stroller and I was sad to get rid of it, but I sold it to a friend who will be using it for her 2 1/2 year old and 1 year old. They're…

Feel free to add me. It looks like you and I are about the same weight (I'm 176), so I think we'd be good buddies. And I have a tendency to track my eating for awhile and then stop for awhile and then go back to it. I always log my workouts, though. :) I'm a 34 year old mother of 4 1/2 year old twin girls. I like to mix up…

Bored, sad, frustrated. I'm bored because I'm at work and I just don't want to be. I don't want to do anything- especially sit here at my desk. Sad because my parents' dog died on Tuesday. My dad's not doing well with it and it makes me sad that I can't do anything to make him feel better. Frustrated because my scale won't…

1. STRETCH. I ran a 10 miler yesterday and my whole body aches today from it. So instead of taking a rest day I'm breaking out the P90X stretch video and doing that this afternoon. 2. Get at least 5 servings of fruits and/or vegetables. 3. Drink lots of water- at least 96 ounces- to continue rehydrating myself after…

That's great! I did P90X last year and I've done it some this year, but I still can't do a pull up. Of course, part of my problem is that I mainly use bands instead of a pull up bar, but I'd be super excited to be able to do one pull up. You should be really proud of yourself!

I'm 5'8" and about 180. I'd like to lose 15-20 pounds. I've been working out consistently for over a year and the weight isn't going anywhere, no matter how much I watch what I eat. I'm starting to wonder if it's because of my Mirena IUD and I plan on asking my doctor about it at my annual in a couple of months. It's…

Go to a running store and have them help you pick out shoes. Make sure you go up at least a size from your regular shoe size when buying running shoes. I normally wear an 8 1/2, but my running shoes are 10s. But the best thing to do is go to a running store, they'll help you figure out which shoes are best for you.
-
I'd really like to lose about 10-20 pounds, probably realistically closer to 10. I've been working out regularly for about a year and haven't really lost any weight. I'm hoping to get my eating in line this year and maybe actually drop some weight. We'll see, though. Feel free to add me!
